I stayed for two nights this month. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable and it's in desperate need of fresh paint and carpeting.I had breakfast twice, I appreciate their flexibility in what you order, but I was underwhelmed. The tomatoes, mushrooms, hash browns had all spent too long on a steam table. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't go back. There is a pub downstairs - night one it was not an issue, but on my second night there was a Rugby Cup match. There was no way anyone could sleep until the wee hours of the morning. This is the nature of their establishment, I don't think they could have prevented it but if I'd known I was sleeping over the pub, I probably would not have stayed.

Wondeful place to stay. Super clean, cozy, very nice staff. Just beware if you have mobility problems because there is no lift! Otherwise, the place is perfect and breakfast absolutely delicious and inclusive, with options for all

Restaurant only :I don’t even know where to start. The waiter was embarrassing and the staff wouldn’t listen to our complains. We waited too much and for nothing. The « food », and by that I mean a two giant goat cheese and unpeeled potatoes, wasn’t cooked, it looked like a joke. I feel culinary violated. Please don’t go there it’s for your one good.

Leaking showers, tight spaces, and unwatchable TV. Corner of the room made my Partners sweater stink of pee, and when we put a towel on it, it turned yellow! Great breakfast, great morning service, great location. Kind of bad rooms...

We didn't stay in the hotel so this feedback is just for the restaurant. The first time we had dinner here was in 2020. The food was delicious, the staff was very nice and they paid a lot of effort into keeping the place clean because of Covid. It was a nice evening and so booked a table for the following evening right away.Three years later - in 2023 - we are on vacation in Scotland again. Based on our experience from 2020 it was no question to come back and we were not disappointed! Once again it was a very nice evening - our best for this vacation so far! Also this time the staff was nice and the food was fantastic. We started with the soup of day (tomato soup) and goat cheese followed by chicken with potatos and lamp with potatos, broccoli, and green beans in a red wine sauce. Unfortunately we didn't had any space left for a dessert.Furthermore we noticed that the tables and chairs were cleaned before the next guest was seated. In our opinion this is a very positive aspect since we didn't saw this in other locations. We are already looking forward for our next visit!

Room was no frills but sufficient. There is a pot for hot water and tea. En suite. Very clean and well kept. Boarding house style. The attached pub gets busy at night, but it doesn't make noise up in the rooms. My room had a window overlooking Wentworth and I cracked the window for airflow (a little noisy but that's fine by me - it's quiet enough with the window closed). Located in the town square, the walkability can't be beat. The street is decorated for Christmas right now, so there's tons of light all night, but the blackout curtains work great. The real gems here are the attached pub/dining room and the staff. Absolutely lovely people, very kind and welcoming. Breakfast is great and I think it may be included in all nightly stays? Not sure. They serve anything from breakfast toast and grains to a Full Scottish.

Did not stay here but stumbled upon the restaurant when we were walking around.Definitely worth trying especially the mussels! Be there early or risk not being able to enjoy it.Friendly staffs but service tends to be a bit slow.Been there two days in a row. Other restaurants have way worst attitude and at least the folks here are more accommodating.Burgers, pasta, seafood are all amazing. If you can get a table or needed to wait for one, by all means !

We stopped here for dinner whilst staying in Portree and had a pleasant experience. The hotel restaurant is low-key and a little old fashioned, but the food was fantastic and very good value. The restaurant was full when we arrived but staff were quick to seat us when tables became available and were generally very attentive and friendly. Also pleasantly surprised at the wide selection of local gins and whiskeys on offer.

Quaint little stay in portree with an excellent breakfast spread in the morning! The beds were comfortable and the sheets were sufficiently thick to keep us warm at night. The toilets look renovated and new as well. There are no lifts here so you would have to carry your luggage up to potentially the second floor! The reception is not always manned but just take note of the time and you will be fine. The dinners here are also affordable and I had the sticky toffee pudding! Which was really nice to end off a savory meal.
