Cycle toured through and wafted in. Nice shop, sadly it doesn't have as much quality stock as its amazing sister shop in Ambleside. You could spend ages in that place, so a slight disappointment.

Probably the best place to buy your outdoor clothing and kit from. Nothing is too much trouble and their pricing changes to meet o line offers. The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful and always happy to chat.The clothing here is far superior than the high street and the range they stock is incredible.

Stop here often when on my way to go play in the mountains. Always a great choice of technical clothing for the outdoors come rain or shine. With regularly discounted clobber on offer, backed up with expert knowledge & niceties from the staff and no hasseling for sales, it will always be my go to store. Feels good to support local businesses too

After a hike with friends in Snowdonia we stopped at Joe Brown's with the intention of buying new walking boots. It was just after 1pm and the shop was closed until 2pm!! There appeared to be at least three staff members in the shop and one came to the door saying they'd shut for lunch and muttering something about having to clean the shop because of Covid!! They wouldn't allow us in! Who in these times closes an hour for lunch on a Sunday when it's limited opening times. They obviously didn't want our custom. Definitely won't be back or recommending to anyone. They don't deserve customers

The lady behind the counter was really nice and helped me pick out the right piece of kit. Some of the most decent prices I've seen for ages and LOADS of amazing kit from a range or brands. Seriously good shop, I'll be buying from them again on my next snowdon trip visit.
