A nice little half hour excursion.

Only open May to August. There is a car park.

Fascinating look at the life of this figurehead of angling. Lovely old cottage and they do teas, plus it's free to visit.

Very nice place. Only open on Sundays. 1300 to 1700 I think.The house is nice. Free entry. It’s only a couple of rooms, but they’re set out like they would have been back in the day. A few things for the kids to play with and a book section.The gardens are tranquil and ornate. Numerous picnic tables around the lawns. It would be a decent place to bring a picnic and just chill for a while.There are toilets out the back and a small tearoom with hot drinks.Four stars for two negative points: parking can be difficult on site. Maybe you’re going to end up putting the car on a verge. The second negative is that the train track is so close that every now and then you get a train blast past.

A lovely place to visit and take a picnic on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Parking is in short supply!

Very nicely kept with large gardens. Perfect for a picnic. Be careful, it's only open on Sundays.
