I am registered at this surgery and my daughter and husband, who are currently taking a year out to travel , but currently staying with me , tried to register. They were talked to in a condescending manor during the face to face registration because they don’t currently have a permanent address. The whole conversation was embarrassing and carried out for all to hear in the middle of the reception area . The receptionist was then rude and was pulled up on it politely and as a consequence they have both been denied registration . I am devastated and left frustrated as we were always polite and courteous even though we felt talked down to the entire time . Everyone is entitled to access to a doctor . I find this deplorable .

Can never ever get through. All I need to do is re order my contraceptive pill. They will never put it on repeat prescription and I cannot phone the surgery as the phone line is down and econsult is down as well. Absolutely useless.

Awful reception staff, I appreciate everyone is stretched with regards to money but the sarcasm and coldness I have received is terrible. Dr Lilli is brilliant and some of the nurses are great too however this surgery has rapidly gone downhill after being a patient of theirs my whole life. Sadly I feel its time for us all to move. Dr Douglas the leading Practitioner needs to look at booking system, mannerism of reception and general efficiency of this surgery.

So hard just to get through to book any appointment. I was calling for over an hour this morning, couldn't get through, then the phone lines were down. Told to complete econsult, but that's no longer accepting applications until tomorrow as now full. Care is very hit and miss. Took my daughter to the nurse once as she was struggling with breathing and very wheezy, she gave her an inhaler. Few hours later we ended up in A&E with croup. Croup has a very distinctive cough and sound which i now know and I'm amazed that a nurse did not recognise this. Same nurse also saw my daughter when i couldn't keep her temperature down with calpol and ibuprofen and told me that she was teething.....

Absolutely terrible reception staff, understand they are under pressure and at the forefront of hostilities, but they show zero compassion or common sense and are completely incompetent and rude. On several occasions they have lied about information they have previously stated to me, they have also hung up on me multiple times when I ask to make a complaint. The most recent issue is that they begun reading my young sons blood results, stopped halfway through, told us we would need to book an appointment with the doctor (Which left us extremely concerned) and told the next available appointment was mid December just to receive our results which has left us very much on tender hooks.....again zero compassion shown.

Terrible Service. I recently changed my gp service as i moved to a new place and i chose this gp surgery as it was close to my new home. I went there to bring my ID and sign some document however i forgot to bring a copy of my proof of address. The receptionist told me to come back in the afternoon since they are open till 6pm. I went there around 5 with my needed documents. I went to the receptionist and told her that i came back with my documents and to sign some forms but she just told me in a rude way to come back the next day as they are busy and they cannot attend me at that moment. I was so disappointed and fuming at the same time! I told them that I am working tomorrow till friday and that was my only free time. They just ignored me. I told them that I work in SGH and that no matter how busy we get we dont send patients back home! I will be looking for other GP surgery near my area and not this one. Terrible experience!

I have been a patient at this surgery since I was born. Sadly it is getting worse and worse with each passing day. The doctors and nurses are generally good (with a couple of exceptions), hence this is a two star review rather than a one. However, their systems are an absolutely shambles and they take no accountability for their own errors. At my most recent appointment I arrived ten minutes early. I thought something might be up when the appointment was forty minutes late, but that is not unusual at this surgery (which says a lot by itself). When a young man approached the desk to ask if he had been missed, I overheard a receptionist say that there had been an error logging him in, due to some new system (but really due to their not actually training their staff adequately to use it). A young lady and I both approached the desk and found out that the same thing had happened to us too.It gets worse though.Instead of sending me through next to see the doctor, they continued to send other patients in ahead of me, even though their appointments were due to begin long after mine. The same was true for the other two people affected by this incompetence. Instead of going to see the doctors to explain and resolve the situation, the reception staff simply e-mailed them, which meant the issue was not highlighted with the doctors for ages. In the end the woman and I were sent into out appointments almost TWO HOURS late. The doctors stayed late to do it, which was professional of them, but it should never have reached that stage.Essentially we as patients were punished for staff incompetence. No real apology was offered. All we heard were excuses.I cannot recommend Shirley Health Partnership in its current state. It has been getting worse for years and sadly never fails to find new depths to plummet to.

One star is very generous considering the experience I had for the past years, including today. Every time I call they are full booked and very busy, they keep telling me to call back every time, when I do, I've being told they are full booked to do it again. The reception staff are not polite and they do not take responsibility for what they say, they don't listen on what I have to say regarding my request. They say are very busy when I call, first hour in the morning, noon or evening but actually, when I get there eventualy, the waiting room is empty and the staff are chatting, we patients need a lot of our time to get their attention .In the past I've being happy with the surgery but now I feel that they don't care about me or my family wellbing. We are paying taxes to have the service and for 4 years and a half I couldn't use the service , or when I did was a struggle.
