Attended a wake in one of the function rooms overlooking the gardens. The teas and coffees were crammed in a corner meaning pretty much one person at a time could get refreshments. Surprised that these were not served. The room ran out of cups and we had to ask the staff to service the room (it wasn't even our function).Tables ran out of water and again we had to ask the staff to refill the small jugs. The hot water for tea was not replenished and went cold. Yet again had to request fresh hot water. Also asked for decaffeinated coffee. Told this is something they don't have. Really?Staff never cleared the room as the cups, saucers and plates built up.Lovely venue but please sort out your service. It is what customers pay for and expect.

A fantastic hotel in a great location, but with a number of issues:1. Disabled parking is too far from the main entrance where staff cars are parked.2. Whilst check in time is 3pm access to room was ‘to the wire’ at 2.59pm. After a long journey and slightly early arrival no hospitality was offered.3. The room allocated, whilst very spacious but entailed a long walk up and down stairs/elevators and across a covered but very exposed, wet and windy courtyard.4. Unfortunately there was a noisy fan in the room and hence another room was offered. The change of room did not happen as planned until 9pm.5. The second room only had towels for one person!6. The breakfast, whilst extensive, contained inedible hard bacon on day one and cold scrambled egg.7. On day two scrambled egg and smoked salmon was ordered, but the egg was also cold.8. With one exception all the staff were excellent and very attentive. The exception was a staff member having a noisy private conversation with someone adjacent to the reception desk making it difficult to hear the receptionist.9. The last straw was my credit card was debited almost £200 more than the actual bill.In conclusion, Luton Hoo need to up their game.Angela & Gordon Davies

Fabulous grounds and gorgeous building. Service is superb and indeed 5 stars. The included access to the spa facilities is also an unexpected bonus. However, the rooms are tiiiiiiiiired. Like 1990s furnishings that look shabby and faded. Disgusting looking bedspread which who knows when that thing was washed - who still uses those? Rooms are indeed large and bathrooms are nice, but it looks like it hasn't been updated in 2 decades.

Went for afternoon tea with friends. The food was good and wide variety of teas available.Sandwiches and cakes were fairly tasty (I had the vegetarian option), and the cakes looked wonderful. There was so much I had some left to take home for the children. It was quite pricey at £45 pp but it was the atmosphere that made it worthwhile. The service was wonderful, really friendly and helpful staff. Everyone had a smile and made us feel welcome. The decor was beautiful with comfy chairs and live piano music. Plenty of parking a short walk away or nearer if you have walking difficulties.Bus stop is near the estate entrance but is a good 15-20mins walk away depending on your walking speed.I will be saving my pennies to go treat myself again.

The staff here is unmatched! They are all inviting, friendly and helpful! My husband and I were concerned about having limited options for food because we only eat halal but Mr. Neel, the manager, who was extremely courteous and understanding of our personal preferences helped us get some halal options for food at the hotel restaurant! The food was very delicious. He went above and beyond to accommodate us. Mr. Forhad was very kind in taking out the time to receive us extremely well showing us around hotel, giving us a rich history of the mansion. We were awed by the beautiful architecture and vintage furniture still maintained impeccably. Worth a visit. Definitely coming back in summer!

This remains a fantastic venue but service and food quality let it down.Salmon was like rubber and some dishes seemed to be preprepared rather than fresh. The wine tasted like supermarket grade but for £50 I expected better. There are much better tasting menus at just as nice venues in the area.

Nice spa, nice setting, nice food, a good experience. However:- Environmental impact: It is a nice 40 min walk from Luton Parkway station, but this isn't advertised (helicopter landings are...), the necessary gate (see photo) isn't guaranteed to be open, and a taxi is recommended instead - this is an easy win.- Tired Garden, Facilities & Rooms: The grounds have the potential to be lovely, however in many places they are tired, the ha-ha is the best example of this, being so overgrown that it disrupts the vista from the house (the very purpose of a ha-ha is to not disrupt the vista). The rooms are similar, in need of a refresh, the heating in the Adams Brasserie has been broken for ages (apparently), and the steam room and jacuzzi were out of actions for both days. A general lack of pro-active maintenance.- Service: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the service at the restaurants was excellent. However, our room key got lost between the two receptions, and an erroneous 70 was accidentally added to our final bill, both minor issues were resolved.Overall, a nice experience, there are better spa escapes for the money within easy reach of London, so I'd give it a miss unless you're there for the golf too. It would however be easy for management to invest in the facilities and grounds, in which case it would be unmissable.

Amazing venue for afternoon tea and staff were super friendly. Afternoon tea was excellent and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I mistakingly booked the wrong day however they were able to fit us in for afternoon tea and were very accommodating. They made sure my other booking was cancelled so I didn't incur a charge. Could recommend enough.

Extremely disappointed with our recent stay here. It was meant to be celebrating a big birthday but the service was absolutely shocking and we left wishing we’d never gone. I don’t understand how this hotel rates itself as 5* - I tried contacting the hotel on numerous occasions before our stay to book dinner and the spa - all of them were ignored. When I finally did get through there was no apology and our booking, despite being confirmed on the phone, was never actually booked. The rooms are extremely outdated… we may as well have been starring in “The Shining”. Don’t eat at Adam’s Brasserie either, it’s like dining at a motorway drive-thru and the staff are incredibly rude. The spa failed to book in our treatments so we were unable to have them on the day. Just a catalogue of errors which should never happen at a 5* hotel!! All in all it was a very disappointing stay and we will 100% never return, nor recommend. Go and stay at The Grove nearby instead - they know how to do it!

We spent a weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location is just magic ... Beautiful Palace and Gardens. The staff was really nice and warm. The food was absolutely great.I was a bit disappointed about the room...minimal design ,old furniture... was not worth the price.Loved the facilities... big large pool with sauna and steam room.
