I'm glad at least one review below references the gentleman with glasses.I arrived back from my weekly shop this morning to find the LPC delivery van parked squarely across my off road parking spec. Upon asking the gentleman sat in the driver's seat if he'd move, his response, word for word, we're delivering".I explained I lived here and he retorted that I could park in the public parking space opposite. My wife visited LPC just before Black Friday looking for a wardrobe.She found one and because we were in the process of decorating, asked how long it could be held prior to delivery, she was informed 4 weeks.She wanted me to see the unit before paying and so it was agreed to be held until the next day.We went in and agreed this was what we wanted, confirmed the unit could be held for a month and agreed to go in the next day to pay.When my wife went in the next morning to pay, she was informed that they could now not hold delivery for a month and could only hold for a few days.As this was not what we agreed and due to the circumstances re our decorating, I was contacted by phone. The person I spoke to on the phone denied we had been told the unit could be held for a month and there was no option other than the few days offered. I asked if we could at go for delivery on the 16th of December as it would take me until then to finish the decorating, I was told that this was not possible. I found out later that the person speaking to me on the phone was in fact the person who had agreed the timeframe with my wife!As a result of this we decided to cancel the order which we didn’t want to do but felt we had no choice.Following this we searched other options and identified a some alternatives being supplied by another store. The same afternoon I was phoned by LPC who now said they were able to deliver on the 16th as other customers also wanted deliveries on that date!They also offered a reduction in price due to the inconvenience.Although we had found an alternative, we still preferred the unit from LPC and as a result, agreed to continue with the sale and take delivery on the 16th. We also agreed to go in the next day and pay for the unit.I went in the following morning and paid for the unit as agreed and we waited for the 16th.We have had no further communication from LPC and today, the 16th, I have waited in all day for delivery. It is now 5pm and nothing has arrived. I have tried to phone LPC several times with no answer. I have emailed them albeit late in the afternoon, with no response.I will be visiting them tomorrow to try and sort this out but it almost feels as though they have ceased trading.......there are certainly rumours out there that they are in trouble........hopefully not!Anyone considering buying from LPC, please beware.We have bought several items of furniture from LPC over the years and have never had an experience like this and have always been satisfied with the quality of their products.My current feeling is......... never again!Just visited the warehouse this morning.No sign of life, shutters down, vans parked outside.Still no answer to phone.Kendal shop phone not even ringing.Checked companies house, there is a proposal to strike off for late accounts but no notice if having ceased trading.....yet!
