The team at HIES have been absolutely exceptional. They were extremely responsive, communicated really clearly and were not satisfied until they found the right solution and provider for our remedial works. Very very satisfied with the team and the experience.

I was a customer of a solar panel installation company, Green Energy Together which closed down leaving me with a faulty solar panels installation (paid for, which never worked) and no battery installation (not yet paid for). Solar Together London, the sponsor of the programme, directs me to HIES under the contract insurance-backed guarantee. Initially HIES seems sensible, asking for payment to fulfil part two of the contract (battery installation) and fix part one, but then things change. They tell me that the battery is not worth installing but still want the battery installation paid before they fix the issues with the solar panels.the request was rushed, insistent, non negotiable and not supported by any invoice or detail of why I should pay this money for. I was also surprised when HIES said that the company had not registered my contract with them and therefore I was not eligible for any of their protection, when they did not mention this when I contacted them first. They seem to take opportunities to make some money for themselves. I cut the conversation and will look elsewhere. To be wary of.

Knowing my installation of an Air Source Heat Pump was backed up by the HIES guarantee gave me the confidence to go ahead with this major change in my heating system. It was good to know there was additional support should it have been required. All paperwork was issued in an efficient and timely manner.

We have recently joined HIES consumer code as a Solar Panel Installation Company. From our initial application and throughout the process HIES have provided an exceptional level of support. They have been available for our many queries. A special mention to Jonny Moorhouse who has been a great in helping us with our application.

Fabulous from start to finish. Everything was explained to me at the initial meeting and even though it was a Friday evening, the representative was happy to sit and answer all my questions. Didn’t feel rushed or pushed at all.Installer’s we’re a dream. So polite and tidy. They explained exactly what was going on at all stages.I was called from the office regularly throughout the process to check I was happy and to keep me informed.All paperwork was provided promptly.Thank you so much for a first class experience.

We had to contact HIES after the installer we had a contact with went bust. They were excellent. Very helpful in explaining the process and arranging an alternative installer. The date of finding out about the original company to installation of our system was around 5 weeks. Very happy with the way they dealt with our situation.

We were very apprehensive about heat pump and solar panels we had only had Fisher heating about 6 years ago although we were very happy with it, it was very expensive to run. We decided to go ahead ,the team that came to work on our house was certainly a credit to the company polite clean and considerate it took a total of 4 days we went out and left them to it someone said they didn’t know they had been in, that’s not totally correct drilling into walls and lifting floors does cause a certain amount of dust. But they did have a vacuum and did a fair job. although it’s early days we are very impressed it’s very different all the heating we have had which is instant this is slow and the radiator never get boiling hot always warm so it’s always comfortable not fluctuating it’s are very adjustable although we haven’t had our first monthly electric bill but are expecting good things.

Entered into a contract with a HIES member who failed to provide pre contract information, register the job, failed to issue documentation, failed to show up on the install date and retained a 50% deposit.HIES mediator, Darren, alleged there was no contract as not in written format with terms and conditions. Email is written and is perfectly valid for contract formation. There is no legal requirement for a contract to be in any specific format to be a contract.HIES own Standard Terms of Membership states at clause F3 You shall notify Us of every new Job within 2 days of entering into a contract... Please note a contract is formed when you agree to undertake any work not just when a written agreement is entered.."HIES alleges its a consumer protection organisation but seeks to mislead consumers and protect installers. Its mediators have no clue about the law

I was exceptionally delighted and impressed with the quality, professionalism and overall conduct of the team, from the scaffolders, to the installers and the electrician who commissioned the system.
