Uphill Farm Walled Garden

Fantastic venue in a great location. Right from arriving, you were given a warm welcome by the staff.The atmosphere for the wedding was brilliant. Excellent food, for the wedding breakfast. The woodfired pizza was an unusual touch but well received. the cattered for those who can't have normal pizza dough. The service was superb.

Absolutely perfect venue for a wedding or any private event. It is beautifully maintained with a huge variety of flowers, trees and plants with lots of distinct areas for socialising. The food is amazing and the owners and staff work seamlessly to ensure all the guests are taken care of with a smile.

Had our wedding here last weekend and it was absolutely incredible. I realise that I'm biased but I still think it was the best wedding I have ever been to. Charlotte, Toph and the team were amazing and bent over backwards for us, nothing was too much trouble. The food was phenomenal, I didn't eat a single thing all day that wasn't absolutely delicious! If you want a unique, intimate and relaxed wedding in a stunning setting then this is the place for it.

My partner and I got married here literally this past Saturday. We are both still on a high from the big day, but I'm also so sad that's its over.We couldn't have picked a better day, we've had a really rubbish summer with wind and rain pretty much throughout the whole of August. Thankfully though, the weather came through and we had a rather warm but glorious sunny day.The food was to die for, including all the canapés. I didn't hear one single complaint. It came out in abundance and Charlotte made sure that some of the beef was cooked for slightly longer for the guests who couldn't eat it pink. The staff were non stop right from the get go to the very end and they were all so smiley. Even the bar staff joined us on the dance floor. Nothing was too much trouble.The garden itself was like something out of novel, all the flowers were beautiful. This venue is perfect if you have young children at your wedding. The garden is large enough for them to run and play without getting under anyones feet but is contained and child friendly so we didn't really need to worry about them.It was such a relaxed and laid back day, which is exactly what we wanted. There was seating both inside and outside, a swing for children (and adults) to play on and in the evening you could sit around the fire pit and roast marshmallows.The main thing that sold this venue to us was Charlotte the owner, she is such a genuine and lovely person. She was so involved in the planning and made sure we got the wedding we wanted. She did her best to accommodate everyone, she was there to give me help and advice when we had a few hiccups in the planning process. It is very clear that she truly loves what she does. Charlotte we can not put into words how much we appreciate you, your staff and your venue. Uphill Farm will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you Charlotte ❤️Toni & John

Attended a wedding here last weekend and it was so wonderful. The food was absolutely incredible also. Everyone kept asking how they cooked the beef it was such a fan favourite! Very friendly owners and really lovely location

My daughter has her wedding at Uphill Farm in July 2023. The owner Charlotte is remarkably talented, energetic, positive and brilliant from the first visit making suggestions for a special day but also taking on individual requests. We cannot thank her and her staff enough.The setting is beautiful. Great views and stunning flowers in the large garden. So romantic.The marquee is huge and the wedding ceremony was undercover in a lovely barn but one of my first questions to my daughter when she chose the Walled Garden venue was “What will happen if it rains?” That fear happened and although there was a week of sun pre and post the wedding, the actual day was non stop rain and wind. In fact the weather did not spoil the day at all & many guests said “the rain actually made it better”. So much fun was had and it forced connections with shared support & memories. Charlotte and her staff got so wet standing outside directing guests or carrying pavlovas to the marquee in pairs so that one could hold the umbrella. They were all amazing. Very friendly and kind too.Another practicality - the loos are in a modern block - very stylish, clean and include a disabled loo. Parking is excellent. Just watch the sheep at the edges of the road when you leave Plymouth which amused many city guests.The food was delicious and everyone commented on that, outstanding. So talented. The bride and groom requested bao buns for the evening and Singapore Slings, so Charlotte found the recipes. Staff were trained to make the cocktails which were sooo good! Every request made was considered, most eagerly accepted and Charlotte was honest where something couldn’t be done, often offering a better suggestion.The marquee, the bar, table settings everything was lovely. Very tasteful, rustic but classy. The barn wedding was perfect too. The marquee is huge!It is a unique place and if you want to have a memorable day, then don’t hesitate to book this for a wedding. Charlotte and Uphill Farm Walled Garden are so special. We will never forget all they did.

Speechless to say the least. Had our wedding here on the weekend and we can't get over how amazing it was. This venue is absolutly outstanding. The staff went above and beyond for me, my husband and every single one of our guests. Incredible service all day long and into the evening.Charlotte was so so brilliant with all the planning and set up regular meetings with us from the day we decided to have our wedding here. She was extremely helpful and we cant thank her enough! Being a very laid back couple and not really knowing how to plan the day she helped us plan something so magical that we will never forget.Every single person that came to our wedding have said its the best wedding they have ever been to, with the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Uphill Farm Walled Garden is an absolutely stunning venue which is truly out of this world and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.
