Shocking company they send you letters that are already majorly late and to even talk to them it's 2 hours on hold to talk to nobody first in line for 27 minutes obviously waiting it out till close time to cost the person more money as they add charges if you don't get in contact with them within a certain time frame useless company

Had a change of jobs so informed council tax I'd be missing 2 payments. Next thing I have a letter from Dukes bailiffs, stating that I have to pay for the rest of the years at £278 a month.... how can you charge for a service that I'm yet to receive. Spend hours waiting too speak too someone. Horrible inhumane selfish company.

I spoke with a support adviser named Summer. She was brilliant and incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the arrears. For that I will give DB 5* service.The reason for 3* was due to the 1 hour wait time to talk to an adviser.

Disgusting bullying lying staff. Told my nephew he HAD to pay the whole debt off within 48 hours (it was council tax) or bailiffs in the area" and will be round the next day. Then done a "deal" as a one off to allow pay over 6 months

When you have been consistent in making payments every month, due to a debt that was admittedly my fault, but then end up in hospital and off work for 6 weeks. I'm only receiving statutory sick pay this month of £440. After speaking to an operator they still demand that the payment is made otherwise an enforcement officer will visit my property. Even after explaining I won't be able to get gas, electricity or food for the remainding 2 weeks before my next pay day. I was only asking for a little bit of help this month, that's all. How are you even allowed to do that??? Putting me in an even worse position than I currently am. Absolutely shocking!......... **UPDATE**DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CONTACTING THEIR WELFARE TEAM EITHER AS THEY DON'T EVEN GET BACK TO YOU! 5 - 7 days they said and still no reply 3 weeks later and zero money in my account for another 10 days.

Absolute disgusting! I explained I had fled domestic violence and on my own with 2 children and can only pay a certain amount each month and they asked for payment in full today or x4 of the amount I said I could pay a month. They have no sympathy , no hearts! Absolutely disgrace of a company.

Sent 3 text messages putting the fear in me. Saying someone will visit my property. What for ?? No details of the account or what it is for. I have tried to email which asks for details of an account I didn’t know I had. No paper work or phone calls. I am a vulnerable disabled person. Literally having a breakdown.

Disgrace of a company. Try the bullying tactic, Mr Laud was the ignorant arrogant prick who turned up at my door and tried to force entry. I have a partner who has severe mental health issues which this company don’t give to monkeys about and laugh down the phone at us trying to belittle us because we owe council tax. I offered payment of what we could afford that was shut down immediately and told to pay atleast 4 times the amount I offered which is disgusting. They are currently receiving nothing from me as I’m going through stepchange. DONT PAY THESE BULLIES A PENNY, CONTACT STEPCHANGE THERE IS NOTHING THESE DUKES SCUMBAGS CAN DO ABOUT IT.

Due to my own stupidity I owe a little bit of money, and rightly so ill pay it back, but the agent that's 'dealing' with my case avoids my questions, doesn't answer phone calls even when im trying to make payment and threatens to turn up to 2 addresses of houses I don't even live at while ignoring my questions and attempts of payment! Extremely stressful when you have a 5 month old child!Now luckily I spoke to a very helpful chap on the phone who was great but sadly can't remember his name.
