Highly recommended!! No surprise this family run local opticians receive 5 star reviews. I acted on a family recommendation. I bought a beautiful pair of Tom Ford glasses this year. Thorough eye examination by Carole using their state of the art equipment which gave me confidence that I had chosen well. Then fitted for the glasses by Jamie who managed to help me buy my first pair of proper glasses which I love. Unfortunately an accident caused some damage over Christmas however Lapworths skill and expertise righted them. Great service from lovely people. Confirmed customer and happy to recommend to friends and family.

Very loathe to give a small family business a bad review. However the customer service I experienced was terrible. I had an eye test and was promised glasses in 2-10 days and it took weeks. No one ever answers the phone. I left message after message and calls were never returned. When I eventually did pick up my glasses I felt the attitude was arrogant and no apology was given. I will never use them again and I cannot recommend them at all.

Wonderful experience once again at Lapworth opticians! Having lost my glasses, I was attended to very quickly and helped to choose some beautiful new frames from a wide selection available. Jamie then ensured I could take them home that day! Unbeatable customer service in a lovely environment. Thank-you!

Best optician I have ever had. Extremely thorough eye examination by Carole. Spotlessly clean and very welcoming. My entire family are now looked after by this practice. The cost of specs was surprisingly moderate particularly for my daughter who has a complex prescription. They have been brilliant during lockdown and I would highly recommend.

Such a shame to have to leave a bad review for a small business, although I can’t imagine they’ll be in business for long if their customer service is always like this.Initial signs were good - liked their model of recommending and trying on frames rather than having them all on the walls, and the prices are very fair.Unfortunately downhill from there. Told the glasses would be 2 weeks, from previous experience it’s usually 3 so wasn’t bothered when it was a bit later. Several phone calls and 5 1/2 weeks later finally had then.From then it got worse - focus on glasses not right and months spend trying to get them sorted. They simply don’t bother to phone you, seeming to just ignore you and hope you go away.Eventually I am fed up and need to go to another optician and get glasses and pay all over again.Completely useless, I would suggest avoiding.

Visited Lapworth Optician & can honestl say its was the best opticians experince I have ever had. Staff are fantastic & shop/examination area is as clean as a whistle. Well done & keep up the great work

Eye test fine rest of service terrible. Thought I would use this local opticians….sorry I did. Booked an eye test 2 weeks before xmas 2021 and all was fine. Was told might get my glasses before xmas all going well, this was not to be. January came and 3 phone calls to the practice no response, eventually they got back to me saying there had been a problem with the couriers and new glasses on order. Now February and again 3 phone calls before they even think about replying. Glasses fall apart so take back for repair. Again, very poor communications promised phone calls never materialise and I’ve now finally got my glasses 12 weeks after my eye test
