The Crown Stonehouse
Today I visited the Crown, the staff in the pub today were Jules, Alan and Sam. I am pleased to say they went above and beyond. The venue was busy and they were all stretched but it was obvious they had this down like a well oiled machine. We were served with a smile, cold fresh drinks and the food was fresh and served with care. This strong team kept everyone happy and served. I did not hear one complaint while I was there. I’ll definitely go again.

We were visiting family and nipped out for some lunch and we couldn't have been happier with this find. The staff were amazing. We came in with 2 little girls and the staff let them pick balloons and blew them up, got them to the ice cream machine and helped them with everything, and provided us with little goody bags to help keep them occupied. We were with elderly relatives who are hard of hearing and the staff gladly turned the music down for them. The food exceeded all expectations. The portions were really generous and tasted great. We had the fish and chips and the fish was better than fish we have had in other pubs. The carvery was amazing too. I couldn't be happier with our experience and will definitely be back when we are down visiting family again. Thank you!

The food here is excellent, the carvery is better than a lot of other pubs i’ve tried. However, in the last few visits the wait for food (aside from the carvery) has been upwards of 40 mins, even when it didn’t seem particularly busy. However, The staff are friendly & always quick to help with any issues/complaints.

The carvery was excellent, hot, well cooked and tasty. The service was first rate. The only downside was the people nearby had their mobiles on speakerphone and for 15 minutes we had to endure their 2 way conversation done at full volume. Next time I would ask a member of staff for help.

We stumbled across this pub by chance, before swimming. We had drinks & light lunch, then booked to come back the same day for dinner! It was a lovely atmosphere, clean & tidy, the staff very helpful & smiley especially Sam! Well priced! Food was lovely, fresh & hot, carvery could do with some seasoning & the mash butter? But nice overall x

Food felt like it had been under the lights for hours,hard and dry, staff were fine when you found one. Also quite happy to make a gluten free gravy albeat very lumpy . Not a great experience but may have been just one of those nites,

Large group of 12 for a family birthday meal. Food was excellent. Great prices for a Sunday carvery.Staff were warm and welcoming, accommodating to our needs and nothing was too much trouble.Big thanks to all the staff - Andy, Sam and Edith on the bar/ floor and to the kitchen staff, Kathleen, Dylan and Taylor

This is a very friendly, clean and comfortable establishment run by lovely management; Jules & Alan. Food is good and reasonably priced with the Sunday roasts tasting home cooked. Special mention to 2 staff members Sam & Georgia for their high customer service levels. Would highly recommend.
