A Pawsitive Step Dog Training & Behaviour

I first met Catriona through Puppy FUNdamentals which I joined with my young Staffordshire bull terrier puppy Toffee. We learned a lot during our 6 week course that now, at almost 20 months old, we still utilise regularly. It was a new method of training that made me rethink some of the training methods I'd used in the past with previous dogs.I've also since joined and completed an introduction to Mantrailing which Toffee adored! It was amazing seeing her focus her attention on the task in hand. We will be attending more of this soon!

Catriona was extremely insightful and very personable in helping me and my lovely boy Kane.She listened to all of our situations that we were going through and came back with some very insightful training techniques and fun games to support us. Catriona came today , and had given us very useful insights as to what is causing our rescue to be barking over the slightest thing, some of the recommendations Such as calming our other dog , never entered our head, as he has always been a very active pup. We never thought for a minute he could be contributing to her anxiety,So we were taught , in the relaxed comfort of our own environment , exercises on how to deal with these issues .We are looking forward with anticipation that all will be well and quiet before too long , and have taken her advice to heart.Thank you Catriona for these new coping mechanisms , and I look forward to letting you know the results.Dachshunds are a difficult breed to manage a lot of the time , so this info has been extremely useful .

Best dog trainer, who definitely knows what she is talking about, ever. Our rescued dog Peaches struggled with anxiety and she did not know how to relax. Catriona from A Pawsitive Step has changed Peaches’s life forever and we are so thankful. We’ve had four one-one sessions at home and I highly recommend this form of training. We have done two seperate courses with Catriona - Scent Work with my Jack Russel and Man trailing with my Spaniel. We found Catriona to be incredibly passionate and knowledgable. She always puts the needs of the dog first and delivers her training in a clear and structured way that makes it easy for attendees to follow and then implement at home. She clearly knows how to read your dogs body language and this enables you to get the most out of your dog by ensuring that training sessions are fun and productive for both of you.
