Thrifty Car and Van Rental Glasgow Paisley

Just called to order a Van only to be told they didn't dont have any.Was advised to contact company on line but told it would be more expensive.This was after three attempts to get through on their National number.I've dealt with thrifty before at Glw Airport and they were great, but clearly not geared up to hiring vans... as the title suggests.

There are a number of rental choices at Glasgow Airport to choose from, however, we have always been happy with the service we've received from Thrifty.If you book and pay for your hire at least a week in advance, you'll get a very competitive rate and the staff are always very pleasant indeed.One note of caution would be to be certain of your rental dates, as should your circumstances change and you have to modify your booking, you loose what you've already paid out and a new booking (and payment) is required.All said and done, we're happy to recommend Thrifty at Glasgow Airport based on our experience over the past 2 years or so.

Gary the 'supervisor' forced me to pay the young driver fee at the desk when I have already paid online. Didnt try one bit to help, threw the problem to the customer to sort out. Got the car 2 hours later than the intended time and paid unnecessary fees.

A terrible experience. I would advise not to come here if you have a EU citizen driving licence. The lady at the reception, Tina, was extremely process driven and not customer centric at all. After spending a lot of time gathering all the paperwork she needed, she has refused taking my proof of address pretending I have falsified the bill! Unbelievable! I am not the type of person to moan or give negative reviews, but here I had a robot in front of me, stuck with her script and internal policy! The irony of the story, I went to a car rental next to them who sorted everything for me in 10mn!! For those who want to speak with human people and not to struggle with tight processes, run away from Thrifty/Dollar!!

Billed me hundreds of pounds for non-existent damage. Completely failed to follow the procedure set out by the relevant trade association (BVLRA), presumably because they knew it was all b.s. Threatened to report them to the BVLRA, did complain to my card company and also requested extensive “evidence” (including CCTV footage) under Freedom of Information legislation. They gave a full refund. Purely as 'a gesture of goodwill' of course!

Arrived back with the car literally minutes to spare before my flight, the man was helpful in receiving the car, and did it as quickly as possible - so I made the flight, great customer service

Hired a car couple of years ago.supposed to be a vw.gave me a jag diesel with over 1000 miles on clock! Couldn't believe there wasn't a catch! Great car great service.

Huge thanks to Raymond and the team. Professional, friendly, courteous, helpful. Arranged everything exactly when they said, kept me updated by text, delivered on their promises. If this is the standard of customer service across the board at Thrifty, there are thousands of companies in the UK that need to take note. Outstanding.

Unbelievably bad. Have hired cars all over the world and I've never had an experience like this. They refused to give us the car because my proof of address hadn't physically come through my front door". Everyone's utility bills are online now. And despite bringing a passport

Dealt with Thrifty for the first time for a very late hire. They were incredibly helpful and the price was great. Will definitely use again for car hire at the airport.
