Stayed 2 nights in an Executive bedroom. spacious and very comfortable, spotlessly clean, lovely view across the rear grounds, super king bed was very comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was excellent with full range of cooked, continental or eggs benedict/florentine etc. staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent and really appreciated the commitment to local produce with uncompromising taste and quality. Afternoon tea had good selection of sandwiches and cakes but the pastry tart was exquisite and best we’ve tasted. Sunday lunch also kept up the standard of excellent food, we had wagyu beef and lamb. For Sunday lunch the price was not much more than many pub lunches but the food incomparably superior. Nice choice of wines to pair by the glass or bottle. All meals were in the glasshouse restaurant which is light and spacious with views into the garden with modern decor. There’s no gym or spa at the hotel so if you are not there for a function you’ll need to drive out to nearby attractions. We spent one day there without going out and enjoyed the rest. The kitchen gardens are reasonably large and beautifully kept. I’d love to know how much of their produce ends up in the meals. To the south east of the property is a partially restored woodland walk starting at the house and ending in views over Oakley. It would be lovely to see the yew tree walk and box hedge borders on this walk restored further from their original owners 1930’s? planting as it would add a lot to the property along with the excellent kitchen garden. This was a pleasant walk between all the superb food. It would be interesting to know more of the house background and history. Otherwise it’s a bit of a drive to go anywhere if you’re spending more than a day or two there (and don’t drink gin or have interest in the gin distillery tour). Many thanks to all the friendly and accommodating staff for their excellent service and for making it a wonderful weekend.

I attended one of Oakley Hall's Christmas parties. The service and atmosphere was good, however, the food was very disappointing and bland. The cocktail on arrival was to a similar standard. I don't think the experience reflected the price at all.

I recently stayed at this hotel, located in a stunning part of the world with breathtaking grounds. However, my overall experience had its ups and downs, leaving me with mixed feelings. When I arrived, the receptionists didn't make a great first impression. They didn't provide any useful information and lacked a friendly attitude. It would have been nice to receive a warm welcome and some guidance about the hotel. The room I stayed in was disappointing considering the price I paid. It was poorly lit, giving it a dark and outdated feel. It definitely needs some updating to match the standards expected at this price range. The food at the hotel was just okay. It wasn't exceptional, but it wasn't terrible either. It met my basic expectations, but I was hoping for more considering the reputation of the place.Overall, my stay was decent, but I don't think it provided good value for the money. Despite the beautiful location and grounds, the service and accommodations fell short in several aspects. There's room for improvement in terms of service quality, room conditions, and cost-effectiveness.In conclusion, this hotel has potential, but it needs to work on several areas to provide a more satisfying experience. With some improvements, it could become a great option for those seeking a practical and enjoyable stay in this picturesque part of the world.

We stayed here overnight after doing the gin tour. The courtyard room we had was amazing and we were also able to charge our car as there was EV charging points. Food was amazing and service was excellent.

Our gender reveal was held here, and the room and staff were excellent. Great location and lovely building. Being my first time visiting will certainly want to visit again.

Visited for an afternoon tea. We liked the selection of sandwiches and sweet treats. My particular favourite was the lavender éclair. The vegan ginger cake was also great. The scones were a bit dry. Lovely surrounding area and the restaurant area also had a nice atmosphere.

We had our works Christmas party here, I stayed in one of the rooms it was very nice, typical of a 4 star hotel in the UK. I can't comment on the restaurant dining experience as we had a package laid on for our Christmas meal.

Picturesque location, certainly has the wow factor. I met some friends with my partner for a Sunday roast/birthday meetup (served 12pm-9pm)We arrived at 5pm and we were lucky as we practically had the restaurant to ourselves for the evening. Food was fantastic, beautiful presentation and tantalising flavours.Expensive but well worth it. Will keep in mind for future events! Thankyou to the staff for great service also. 5* all round.

A large party of us was here for a wedding, myself and 3 other women were bridesmaids. Unfortunately, 10 minutes before the ceremony, my dress had ripped really badly. The absolutely amazing staff who helped, Tim, Lauren and Gemma, quickly and efficiently started pinning my dress back together and helped make it to the ceremony on time. I cannot thank them enough for their amazing effort. The on-site cottage that the bride and bridesmaids slept in was stunning. A lot of room for us to get ready without tripping over each other, comfy beds and soft bedding. The entire grounds are beyond words, such a beautiful building and site.Once again a massive thank you to all the staff who helped make the entire day a roaring success!

DISCLAIMER: I was at Oakley Hall for a business errand, so I didn't actually stay in a room, but I wasn't able to leave this review without adding a star rating for the rooms. After my business errand was completed, I was able to eat in the restaurant and explore some of the building and grounds. The grounds are extensive, very well looked after, and stunning. All staff I encountered were polite, professional, friendly, and provided exemplary customer service. The food at the Glasshouse Restaurant was tasty and beautifully presented.I would return to Oakley Hall to stay and fully experience the hotel.
