Very fresh oysters! The fried one was quite special and tasty. Great scenic view of the oyster farm in front as well.

Islay Oyster Shed
The most amazing little cafe at the end of a seemingly endless dirt track! Genuinely worth the journey to get there. We just had focaccia sandwiches - but the bread was just so beautiful, and the fillings amazing. Such a lovely location too - truly lunch with a view. The staff are so warm and welcoming and we felt like friends rather than customers. Highly recommend for a truly unique lunch experience

Islay Oyster Shed
We have decided that the Islay Oyster Shed is the best vegan lunch spot on the island. The roasted veg focaccia sandwich with vegan mayo is delicious, as is the vegan Black Forest gateau cake. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. We like the relaxed atmosphere and the setting, looking out at the Loch.

Amazing place, bit of a rough road to get here, but well worth it. We had local crab panini, probably the best I've had anywhere. Would love to come back and try the oysters, as they looked amazing.

This is well worth the drive for the stunning setting, simple but delicious food and friendly service. The oysters are as fresh as can be and the sandwiches are filled to the brim!

Spent the most delightful afternoon enjoying the wonderful views, watching the birds and eating the best food ever.Such good value for money and all fresh, if not home produced, locally sourced foods.Can highly recommend the crab and the pulled beef foccacia, plus the home made chips crisp and tasty and not at all oily.Not a lover of oysters but I did try the fried oysters on offer which was surprisingly delicious. My partner indulged himself in the fresh ones and did comment he had never had oysters so fresh, plump and tasty.The staff were absolutely delightful and treat yourself to the carrot cake, very light and fluffy.Please consider opening a branch in Australia.

No doubts you can eat here the best oysters in the entire world. I tried oysters in more than 20 countries and never had better. They are like having a cloud in mouth, so soft and delicate! OMG!!!At the same time very medicore chips and foccacia that is not foccacia, just some kind of bread, but with very tasty filling, still worth to try :-)

Absolutely exceptional. The single track road to get there isn't that bad and it's well worth it. The oysters are the absolute star of the show, best thing I tried during a four-day stay on Islay. Don't miss out.

Fresh Islay oysters, creamy with very faint rusted iron. The crab sandwich is also very fresh, the best crab sandwich in my life!
