We had Laura photograph our intimate wedding in August this year and she did not disappoint. Before the day we had a chat to discuss any specific shots we would like and then let her work her magic. She was discreet, polite and friendly, from the morning with getting ready to the ceremony and first dance it made the whole day easy. The photos themselves are absolutely breathtaking, she has managed to capture so many magical moments, so much love and happiness without even trying. They are natural and beautiful in equal measure. When we started thinking about what we'd like from our wedding photography we kept coming back to 2 words: 'authentic' and 'classic'. We'd looked at loads of photographers' work on Instagram that was cool but most felt quite same-y: lots of serious-looking couples, wearing sunglasses gazing off into the distance and holding weird props (a single balloon?!) It's the sorta stuff that gets loads of likes Insta but perhaps feels a bit contrived and gimmicky! Each to their own and all that but it's not really us. I knew Laura back when I worked in magazines 10 years ago and I remembered how beautiful her editorial work was. I knew that although she works to every client's brief, she's also a fierce champion of photography in the pre-Insta age and this felt like a good fit for the 'authentic' and will-age-well 'classic' we were going for. Laura did not disappoint. We married in a modern theatre just before Christmas – essentially a black box made cosy with hundreds of candles and fairy lights and rich, lux, jewel tones flowers. Despite this dark (and presumably pretty challenging) setting, Laura absolutely smashed it. We feel very lucky that Laura was available to shoot our wedding, and that she guided us so patiently on the day so that we now have a set of incredible, timeless photographs. Book her if you can.

The perfect photographer. Laura listens carefully to what you want, and then delivers over and above. She made not only me, but my husband (which is some feat), feel totally at ease in front of the camera and all our guests too. She captures every little moment and the tiniest details, too. Her photos are stunning, and make me smile every time I look at them. I can’t recommend her enough.
