Holiday Inn Cambridge

This hotel needs a renovation desperately. I stayed for 4 nights. The first two nights the outside temperature was 33F and there was no heat. The front desk offered an explanation that they were in the process of switching from AC to heat, but it was COLD in my room. The second two nights the heat was on and it was comfortable.My room had some stains on the carpet, a bit of mildew in the bathroom- signs of age more than anything. Otherwise it was a good size. The television was pretty small and had few channels. It was also complicated to turn on.Breakfast had a lot of choices, but was ok at best.The hotel is outside the city not really close to anything but a sheep pasture.

Great sized rooms ,super cleaning very comfy beds . Staff were friendly and obliging ,making you feel very welcome. Breakfast was brilliant, every thing on offer . Great gym and pool. Very easy access into Cambridge.Really great foyer and restaurant for eating and meeting up. Cant fault the Hotel at all .Looking forward to returning .

The room was clean but in need of repair, bath taps were full of limescale, and the bathroom tiles missing grout, which gave a very grubby appearance.The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. However, the staff are very polite and welcoming.

Overall an excellent hotel. The rooms are spacious and well serviced. The staff, especially Jason, were professional, courteous and polite. The food was of a high standard and breakfast was plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

From outside The Hotel is pleasing to the eye. Booked a family room with a double bed with a sofa bed. Rooms were clean but expected to be in a better condition. TV was just there couldn't move it around as it looked like it was just hanging off the wall and was just about to drop. Beds were not comfortable at all. Have stayed in the premier Inn with better beds for a fraction of the cost. Toilets were NOT clean at all. Good thing we were staying only 1 night otherwise, we would have definitely asked to be moved. It seems as though Housekeeping decided to ignore the cleaning of the bathroom and the toilet. Yes, they did leave the towels folded up and basically wiped the surface, but the bath was not somewhere you could have a bath. The ceiling was peeling it's wall paper at the corners, tapes weren't wiped. Basically it was NOT up to standard. Maybe housekeeping was having a bad day. Even though the hotel had a swimming pool, did not fancy using it after seeing the status of the bathroom. Operations Management should check the rooms maybe once in a while. Overall it wasn't a great experience. Wouldn't recommend the hotel purely for the state of the bathroom and the room.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would the staff is truly what makes this place great. Ana, James, & Jason are EVERYTHING here!!! The contracted masseuse Alisha also is highly recommended. The spa was lovely and the host inside it was warm welcoming and very hospitable. I truly hope he and his fiance do actually go visit US...especially Las Vegas.The steam room and sauna are lovely as well. Can't brag about the staff enough. One of the Managers was nice too but seemed a bit frigid probably needs to lighten up a bit and stop micro-managing the staff they're already AMAZING so just lay back and support them, and trust THEY GOT YOUR BACK!Lastly the food was good not many vegan options but the chef was dope too so he accommodated my diet and ensured we ate.
