Anna is an amazing teacher, I’ve been working with her for about 5 months and my voice has become a lot stronger and clearer. Within 5 minutes of talking with her she had identified all the major issues with my singing - something no other teachers have been able to! She is really easy to get on with and has given me the skills to complete assignments for my songwriting degree and release my own music!

I have been taking singing lessons with Anna almost every week for about a year now. I love the way in which my lessons are structured (about 40 mins of warming up exercises and then a song of my choice we work on together). This is extremely helpful as I've learned many techniques to improve my voice and make sure I am using it safely while singing. I greatly appreciate that we work on a song together at the end of the lesson because I can immediately implement the techniques I've just learnt. I am applying to drama schools and Anna has been helping me to prepare my songs for my auditions. I feel very safe and comfortable in the sessions and at the same time feel encouraged to do my very best! Anna is a joy to take lessons with:)

I have attended lessons with Anna for the last two years, and have made far more progress than I ever thought possible. It's definitely one of the best things I have ever done, and nothing compares with the thrill of hearing yourself sing something you never thought possible! I have been taking classes with Anna for six months now, and the improvements in my voice are incredible. She has a lot of knowledge, so she always has the perfect exercise and strategy to get the best out of me. Classes with Anna are fun, motivating and effective. I couldn't recommend her enough!

I have always viewed myself as guitarist who sings but was fully aware my singing voice was limited. I approached Ed with this problem and he quickly set about identifying my issues, systematically correcting these with skill, patience and encouragement. Ed’s classes are always engaging and taxing in equal measure and after only a few sessions my singing voice has shown significant improvement. I have done about 6 months of training with Anna. Anna is a great teacher, her teaching methods are very efficient, I have got a lot of progress. I started as a beginner without any musical background, except casual guitar playing. Highly recommended! I will come back when I have time again.

This place is really terrific! I've been taking SLS voice lessons with Anna for about three months now, and I'm completely hooked. I would imagine all the other instructors are as dedicated and talented as she, but my experience with Anna specifically has exceeded all my expectations. She's tough, yet encouraging, and works with you every step of the way to ensure you're completely on board with all the teachings. i started having singing lessons with Anna Stubbs in November 2017. They have provided a magnificent training. Her approach is progressive, and she provides a 15 minute summary of each lesson at the end. This provides the basis for future exercises. As a result I have been able to practice every day since then (its now late March) and the effects on my voice have been remarkable. I had assumed that I did not have a real singing voice, but now I have discovered one, at the age of 75! Anna is a brilliant singing teacher.

I am a semi-professional vocalist of many years experience. After only a few lessons with Ed Staunton I have made significant improvements. Also Ed has given me a clear understanding of the technicalities involved with my voice and the improvements he has guided so that I can consolidate and keep these benefits.I have studied with a number of excellent vocal teachers but it seems that Ed is the best yet. He is friendly and professional with a rigorous pedagogical approach that is intensive yet enjoyable, and which most importantly gets great results. He tailors the lessons and exercises specifically for my voice and my individual problems, which he identifies with an expert and expeditious adroitness. Beneath his easy manner there is a profound depth of knowledge and experience which becomes apparent as the lessons progress, and even more so when the lessons are recorded and sebsequently reviewed.It alchemical! I caught the flu, it started the day before my class and quickly deteriorated. I could barely stand due to fever and could not sing. I immediately contacted Anna Stubs to explain the situation and asked if we could reschedule the class. Anna refused to refund me or reschedule and only offered to do the class at the same time online, which I could not do given my symptoms. She even suggested that I buy a pack of lessons once I have recovered! I explained again that I was not looking for a refund and was simply asking to reschedule. So many people have the flu and Covid at the moment and despite all the precautions I took, it was really hard to avoid it and this is not something I could have anticipated more than 48 hours in advance (which is Anna’s policy). Anna still refused to reschedule the class. I have lost £90. I understand her policy but I was hoping she could understand the situation and be flexible. This is not a small amount and is totally unacceptable especially during the flu and Covid pandemic.
