Steamworks Sauna Edinburgh
It's dirty and was empty on a Thursday night. Very overpriced for the conditions. Dry sauna is at 50°. Vapour is great. The cruising level has a moldy smell to it, which is not very inspiring to have sexy times. Not recommended.

I was once again in the sauna and had to pay for the second towel. At the reception it is written that the second is free, but unfortunately I still had to pay because I think the employer did not understand what is written there.

Been there about 8 times now. Love this place, always left happy. It's really down to us not the business, sometimes it's just wandering round and round until you catch right person. always found the dark room fun.

Visited this sauna yesterday ( Sunday) and was impressed with the vibe, friendliness of staff and facilities. It’s in the process of being upgraded but I paid for a cabin which was larger than expected and provided plenty of space for valuables and clothes. I opted for a massage for the full 60 minutes and have to say it was one of the most relaxing I’ve ever had. Attention to detail by the masseur was very welcomed as I have a problem with one of my elbows. There was a mix of young and older guys but the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming I would definitely recommend visiting if you want to have a little fun and or relax while visiting the city.

Average clientele is around 55-60yo. This place doesn't seem to attract younger crowd. Very expensive for what it is.Freezing cold. No wonder guests gather near the saunas cos it's the only warm place in the building. I've seen a staff member wearing a jacket. This place is so dull and miserable. It needs a proper refurbishment. I suggest the management/owners go on a trip to European cities to see how this kind of place should be working.

Lockers are too small. Wet room needs more anti slip mats. Dark area was too dark. Positives - Steam room was amazing. Crowd was okay. Price to be expected. Overall worth a visit.

Went other day and stayed 6 hours very good steam room, was a little dark in areas but eyes got used to it, well organised club, towels could be slightly bigger as could lockers ( I'm a biker so have gear so def a booth next time) friendly staff ignore bad reviews best I've seen

The most wasted £17 I have ever spent (quite steep for entry by the way). Given access to a locker that was too small to fit my clothes (it’s winter, I’m tall) - let alone my bag. The staff originally suggested I just leave the things that don’t fit out in the open. When I asked if I could simply leave my things in a locker of a nearby gym I use - I was told that the moment I leave the sauna I forfeit the entry fee. Not a Great way to welcome a customer who tried the facility for the first time (and as a result my last). Pity. I understand they have rules but given there were max 10 lockers in use, a bit weird that they’d be ok to lose a customer like that.Other than that the facilities I did see looked a bit clinical (bright lights) and dated and the whole place reminded me of visit at a police station .

Old people only. They provide you one towel (not 2) and no Slippers. Swimming is not a real one but just a plastic tub. You can easily Slipping on stairs and the dark area smelled damp and dirty.
