Booked with them to do a colour given I have a big event coming up, originally told I could have a hair appointment in the evening after work. Went in on a Saturday to complete a patch test, and was told it was a big job so would need to do a day time. Fair enough, I let the owner know I could book a day off work. After leaving the patch test I was called and told I’d need to do a strand test. Would have made sense to do the strand whilst I was there but no problem. I explained how busy I was at work and was asked to go in an evening time, I called explained work had run late could I attempt to come in the next day. Sadly, same thing happened at work the next day which prevented me from going to the strand test, however I communicated with them and let them know what was happening. Spoke with Liam the evening before my 10am appointment and we agreed that even thought I hadn’t done my strand test I was willing to try the colour and understood fully that if it did go wrong there would be no time to fix it. - Liam was very helpful and polite!The morning of the appointment, 1 hour before, I get a Facebook message (not even a phone call) from the owner explaining that she has cancelled my appointment as I did not attend a strand test and that I would not be able to be seen today. I explained I had spoken with Liam and that work had been really busy, but we agreed between the two of us that we would attempt the hair colour and if it went wrong then so be it, I was happy to take that risk.I then received some long excuse about how they are a business and they can’t afford to have people cancel on them. A few thoughts I had here:1) I never cancelled, I was also never told that if you don’t show up to a strand test your appointment would be cancelled.2) the strand test was something that was a random walk in, I could attend at anytime (ie lunch time, after 5pm) so I was not informed that it was an official appointment.3) I offered to come down straight after work at 5pm the day before the appointment, however was told that would mean they would have to work late. Fair enough, no one should have to work late but again why would my appointment be cancelled.4) if it was such a big appointment and they were in fear of “losing money” then by all means perhaps look at putting in a deposit on booking system. I would have happily paid an amount.5) I’m now out of pocket in terms of a Holiday day I have used at work, I actually agreed with the owner on the Saturday that I would book the day off as work can be really busy so that’s the only way I could guarantee being there.After reverting back to the owner on Facebook she asked me to call the salon and was to be completely honest extremely rude over message. I’m not sure what business operates over Facebook rather than calling a client directly on the phone to discuss appointments, but hey, lacking professionalism. Knowing that my event was on the Saturday the only thing I was offered was an apology from Liam, who explained that the owner had taken the appointment out of the diary and it had now been booked by someone else. After having a whole week wasted, I was lucky and was able to secure an appointment for at least a hair cut with a big chain, understandably there’s no longer time to get my hair coloured as a patch test is required - but it’s better than nothing at all which is what Just Hair and Beauty left me with!Morale of the story, if you are looking for a professional business that provides excellent customer service, and have an understanding of flexibility then don’t go here! It’s a family run business that is lacking that customer care experience. Stick to the big brand names and you won’t be disappointed like I was!

Love this salon! highly recommendi had micro bead hair extensions put in by Liam and he is amazing, they look so good! He dyed them for me after too and you cant even tell my hair from the extensionif your looking for a fab friendly hairdressers then this is the place :)
