Stayed here four nights and it was wonderful. Not sure if it’s my favourite ever hotel - but it’s close. The rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit bland, but it is the location and staff that make it. All the staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome during our stay. The dining room command terrific views across the bay. A great place to stay (albeit expensive).

£275 per night is really over priced, due to lack of competition maybe(?). Hotel building is old with very basic facilities. Rooms are clean, with nice view. The high light maybe the foods, they are delicious and beautifully presented.

A completely charming hotel, classically decorated with stunning views of the loch. Our room was beautiful, with armchairs by the window to enjoy coffee with a view in the morning. The bathroom was clean and modern and we enjoyed padding around in our robes and slippers. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks with panoramic views in the restaurant and were looked after incredibly well by the hotel staff throughout. Overall a great stay, we would return in the future!

Very very good. The staff are welcoming, friendly and you could not want for a better front of house person than Janet. The building was built in the 1980's and so does not have any of the annoying features of old country house hotels (rubbish bathrooms) but has all of the high standards you would expect. The food is great especially the seafood. All in all I will certainly be returning

Amazing hotel. Looks very old school from the outside but inside and you find wonderful service, classical styling, and amazing views. The superior room we had was extremely spacious, with great amenities. The filet steak for dinner was the highlight - one of the best I’ve ever had. Lamb a little less impressive but good. I was expecting 2 duck bau buns rather than the one. Buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad starter was excellent. Come for the steak! Melt in the mouth… thanks to the whole team for taking care of us!

Situated on the hill overlooking the harbour and islands, the dining room offers quiet comfort with beautiful views. Our hostess, a young lady from Glasgow could not have been more welcoming, she made us feel right at home and looked after us as though we were the most important visitors that day.Service by the young lady and her male colleague was first class, every attention to detail was made, but without that feeling of being stood over and watched. We were not rushed at all and we were allowed to savour and enjoy the evening, it was very good indeed.

We stayed here on Monday night and it was super! Our twin room was clean and spacious and had amazing views. All staff members we interacted with were so friendly and helpful and our breakfast in the morning was delicious! Would definitely recommend!

Our original hotel let us down and as we had every other element of our NC500 worked out we was forced into taking the most expensive option. We took a suite so that they could comfortably add a 3rd bed for our 8yo but I think we could of roughed" it in a standard room which would of saved some pennies. Great views over the bay and loch for which we sat for hours with a wine(brought our own) watching the for ever changing light
