Nicola was amazing from start to finish. When I first made my appointment it was made very clear what I needed to do before I came in. Thankfully for modern technology I was also able to zoom call in my best friend from Wales! We tried on many dresses and I came away from my first appointment with a dress being ordered! I was kept in the loop when my dress would be in the shop and it was really quick and easy to try it on and collect it once it was ready! It definitely was not the dress I went in for but it turned out 100% better than I imagined and everyone commented on how nice my dress was!I would recommend to anyone. As a larger bride I was worried about trying on sample size 8 dresses and it just wasn’t the case. The dress I tried on and fell in love with was my size!

Nicola went out of her way to make us feel warm and welcome. She listened to my ideas without making me awkward or silly and nothing was too much trouble.The fitting service was spot on, there are pegs and clips to make the dress feel as fitted as can be and the pedestal really helps when the dress is too long. My bridal party and I had the best time! Can’t wait to go back soon to say a definite YES TO THE DRESS and place my order. I have absolute confidence in Nicola and her team, thank you so much x

I had some time to kill, saw a wedding dress shop on the corner - thought to step in - when I did I gasped! It was like glistening crystals of snow everywhere in the shop! There were the most beautiful dresses up that I had ever seen including an all feather corset dress that was super unique and unlike anything I had ever seen! It was by far the prettiest most beautiful wedding shop I had ever visited! I can so highly recommend just stepping in and taking a look! So gorgeous, superb quality! So, so beautiful! Thank you!

I had an appointment with Nikki while visiting my parents - and she made the experience so wonderful! The store was beautiful, and Nikki was generous with her time and her stunning gowns! She was super understanding, honest, and helpful. I have never had a better bridal shopping experience! Beautiful selection of gowns, especially if you want something affordable and a little more unique. Absolutely in love with the dress she found for me!

Today just over a year since I said yes to the dress and a few weeks since our special day.I would like to say thank you so much to Nicola at Velvet Queen for creating my dress. I loved all of it and it is exactly how I hoped it would be. It was exciting going for the bespoke creation where I didn't fully know what to expect until she was finished. I am so glad I did it this way and I would fully recommend any future brides to visit you at Velvet Queen whilst looking for their special dress. Nicola was inspiring, patient, knowledgeable and encouraging and she made me feel relaxing when making the big decisions. Thank you Nicola.

Had such am amazing time at Velvet Queen. Nicola made me feel so welcome and had chosen dresses for me to try which were exactly my style! Also as a plus size bride it was the only boutique that had dresses in all sizes to try on and ways to try on dresses which were too small which didn't make me feel bad. I would absolutely recommend Velvet Queen to everyone!

Such a beautiful shop and wonderful experience ❤️ Nicola was genuinely interested in my ideas, likes and dislikes. Nothing was too much trouble and I spent the whole appointment at total ease, like spending it with a friend! If you’re looking for a wonderful experience, look no further ❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, I am newly engaged and didn't know exactly what I was looking for so was a tad overwhelmed, but Nicola was supppper helpful and gave me so much information and advice. The dresses are gorgeous, and there were so may different styles to choose from. Thank you again :)
