My favourite restaurant in York, delicious food and reasonable prices without felling pretentious. Relaxed atmosphere, happy staff and quick service. I've been here more than 10 times and have never left disappointed.

Terrible value thanks to small size of dishes and tactic of camouflaging filler ingredients in sauce. Excuses from manager don't make up for underwhelming meal, and disgusting to see chefs sitting on the ground in an alley behind the kitchen smoking. Avoid.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in. The staff were attentive and quick to both take our order and bring it to our table. The quality of the food was excellent as I haven't always been overwhelmed by La Tasca in Manchester but this particular restaurant was 1st class.We tried a couple of new dishes on the menu and really enjoyed them, especially the honey and mustard chicken thighs!Best of all, they accept the Tastecard without needing to book meaning we saved money too!

Great food, lots of choice, really tasty. Puddings great choice, delicious caramel cheese cake- yummy. Brilliant service, warm friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Recommend you go, I would definitely go back. We where there

Comparing to paella eaten in Spain this tasted so simple and plain. Probably could cook one at home no worst than this. Portions...probably big enough to feed some femails, not me. For £60 bill just not enough food. Good friendly service and cosy clean premises though
