Unity Square
Unity Square looks great from the outside looking in, very modern and affordable. However this accommodation has been an awful experience for me, I have not lived there since October due to the pandemic and received no reduction in rent. I wanted to return, and requested to move to a different flat several times explaining that I felt uncomfortable due to the experience I had when I lived there just to be told “just see how you get on”. Which has now resulted in me paying another £1700 today for somewhere I cannot return. This student accommodation is not ideal for people who want to make friends as there is just constant drama and gossip between different blocks of flats. I would advise anybody looking to get a university experience not to move to here as you will probably find you do not enjoy yourself one bit. It reminds me of being in high school.

From my first day arriving, I have been blown away by the tremendous efforts of Hayley and the staff here to ensure my comfort and happiness. They have been very accommodating and are always so friendly & smiling! The rooms (specifically studios) are beautiful, clean and modern. My friends are always so impressed! Collecting post is simple, there is always access to vacuums and having a keycard door lock (they provide a lanyard with both keycard and post keys) is such a nice touch. Unity Square sits next to the gorgeous Everton Park, and is a 10 minute walk from Lidl, a gym and UoL campus. So happy with everything and would recommend this accommodation to any student (UoL/Hope) staying in Liverpool!

Best accommodation I’ve stayed in in four years of studying here. The girls are great always sort you out with anything you need. Smart tv’s in rooms are fab. Free gym membership all year. Kitchens and living room very modern. Pam and Hayley especially two great ladies

Great place to stay and great living environment and atmosphere especially for the reasonable price. Staff and cleaners all all so lovely. I was able to leave my stuff here whilst I go home and no that nothing will be touched or moved. I have always had someone to talk to when needed. Pam and Hayley have been great help regardless of what it was or what time of day it was. Best prices for accommodations in Liverpool, they’re more elsewhere and the conditions are no where as near good as they are here. Amazing atmosphere whenever you entire and leave the building. Such positivity spread across the building. My first year despite being ruined by COVID they still made sure I felt comfortable and at home. Can’t wait to spend my second year here this year looking forward to go back!❤️

Lovely, new and clean student accommodation! Perfect location near to uni & city centre, I've never had to use the bus. Everton Park just outside the door, Lidl just 5 min walk. Very friendly and helpful staff. As an exchange student, I can say that I had felt like home here, as Pam, Hayley and the rest of the staff were super kind to me all the time, they even packed up my remaining belongings and helped me send them back to Spain due to the pandemic. I recommend this place 100%.

Worst student accommodation I’ve ever stayed in during my 3 tenure in Liverpool. The building had teething problems, with consistent problems with the internet, heating, electricity etc. Showers and wardrobes had issues, along with no plug sockets in any relevant places around the accommodation. If you’re staying here and want to go on your phone while being in the living room, I suggest you by a 10m extension socket. Not only this, but our privacy was invaded constantly as security are constantly in and out, and people who we had never even seen before welcomed themselves into our ‘home’ as a regular occurrence. This place never felt like our home, and made us feel extremely uncomfortable during our stay here, really put a downer on our final years as students. The price of living here is also extortionate considering the quality of living; the only positive about this place is a lovely receptionist (Pam) and a few very nice cleaners, one of which is Pam’s daughter. Throughout the global pandemic they have been extremely inconsiderate and have offered us no form of discount (despite us not living there for 4 months) and harassed us continuously. All in all, the worst place I’ve ever lived and wouldn’t advise for anyone.

I’ve had silverfish in my bathroom for the 2nd year of being here. And I never had this at my first year accommodation it’s super annoying. No wonder this place was under booked this year, for the price it’s not all that great there’s no common area so you can’t interact with other new people unless it’s your flatmates.

New accommodation with nice rooms, it is very clean everywhere, it is well located in Liverpool and has a wonderful and always super helpful staff who was always there when needed. Application process, formalities,... everything worked well. I was an international student there and can highly recommend it!

An okay accomodation. I regret staying in a studio in this place as I had no access to an oven all year. Just a two ring job and a microwave, also no communal area at all. Only stay in the less expensive rooms if you want any kind of interaction with the others you live with. On the upside, the room was nice, the view I had was lovely, the internet was mostly good despite some issues and I felt the room was generally well designed with sockets etc in good places. One major downside is because there is no deposit it feels the accomodation will do whatever it can to get you to pay for stuff when you leave. I was charged £80 for a chair that I had never used inappropriately, it was designed so that after use for a year it would be bent out of shape no matter what. Things like this are scam-esque and really soured my experience. Overall, it's alright.
