Origin Spinal Injury Care

Would be really useful to say on the website that they aren’t taking on new clients and are struggling to recruit carers. 4 days wasted waiting for a reply from them (after filing in online form - and getting an auto response) and sending a follow up email still with no reply. It now means that the urgent and emergency respite care we require is not possible with anyone else because of the short timeframe left to try and find someone.Please put information on your site and remove the online form if you are unable to provide people with a service!

Origin company unpredictable and unreliable.I spent one month finding out if they’re really going to offer me a job. They train people because maybe this is how they get some financial support. I have asked them every time about jobs. When exactly canI  start working and the answer was,  When all the paperwork is done.After waiting and waiting and explaining my situation that I am without a job since they promised me one of the care manager ABBY DRISCOLL said that the job is not guaranteed. By the way I just mentioned that at the beginning of the process JOHN HARDY said in the interview that I am going to get a job after succeeding with the virtual training.From the beginning of the process I felt something unpredictable because in the virtual classroom people were from all over Europe. I do not understand how they offer jobs to them when they are not living in the UK and as we know if you’re coming from abroad you have to be self isolated and (we are talking about disabled people with a weak immune system).At the moment they are still advertising for training people URGENTLY but clearly there is no granite of a job.Don’t waste your energy and your time !!!

Lovely company friendly supportive staff with a family feel and values committed to quality of service for their clients and finding the right well trained staff to work with them. The training course was extremely thorough and staff checked and double checked you were happy with information given and felt competent with any practical procedures.

When I found Origin Spinal Injury Care Agency, it gave me the opportunity to travel around United Kingdom and meet different clients with spinal cord injury. The agency made me feel at home and they make sure that our demands as Live-In Personal Assistant are met. I am well taken care of as travellers on this Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. They made sure that I am well protected. I love working with them.

I've been working for Origin since 2007 (with a two year break) and always felt appreciated. It's the best employer I ever had. I never felt like I have a boss there somewhere since the communication with care managers (and everybody else in the office for that matter) was always on an eye-to-eye level, respectful and understanding.

Good team to work with, thorough training (5 days in Lancaster,)/ slow to get the placements rolling,, care managers are very involved and always do their best.. the clients can be very challenging and complex since spirally injured. Good experience overall and very grateful for their support.

I worked with Origin for 9 years, in 2 different roles, and the culture can’t be explained in a little review. Their commitment to both their clients and the PAs is amazing, and the Care Managers move mountains to keep everything ticking over. Although I’ve moved on, they will always be my Origin family, and I will take the commitment to quality I learnt at Origin, everywhere I go.

Staff were firstly very knowledgeable about their organization and all its facets, and secondly very helpful and friendly to me, which inspired confidence. They processed my application in record time and I flew from across the world for the training course. All the tutors were excellent at their jobs and so willing to share their knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend Origin to anyone who wants to get involved in this line of work.

First I filled up the application form to work as a PA. After that I was contacted by John and we did agree to have a video call. Call was very smooth and I enjoyed John´s typical English sense of humor. After all necessary documents was sent to company I could attend a training in Lancaster. Training took one week, was very intense and professionally prepared.After meeting different people from company management I can feel that this company was build up with heart.
