BikeShed Outta-Town

My Trek was booked in for a service. Received the message that my bike was ready to collect. Great! I collected my bike a week later. Arrived and was told oh the rear tyre is flat we will need to replace the inner tube , ok it was not flat when it arrived but anyway I gave the guy the nod to change and fix. For this I was asked to pay an extra £15! The reason I have given one star I mean 0 would be appropriate… The tyre has deflated again and on checking my inner tube it turns out they have not actually replaced it.Updated review following Mike the owners message. I did return my bike for the problem to be fixed. I’m pleased with the aftercare received by the team especially John who took it upon himself to resolve. Mistakes do happen and I’m pleased we met and the problem has now been resolved.

Recently purchased a bike for my son here, having visited another local store and have to say what a great experience from start to finish. Chris was most helpful and knowledgeable. We weren't spending a fortune but nothing was too much trouble. If you live in or around Exeter the Bike Shed has to be the best local company for friendly honest advice.

I can't rate these guys highly enough. I had an issue with my back wheel. They fixed it and changed the cassette and tyre over. They didn't charge me so I have absolute confidence that, when they do, it's fair and needs doing.

Nothing but praise and thanks. Always get such friendly, helpful advice and service whatever the question of problem. The most recent was a last minute pre holiday mechanical issue with my bike. A quick phone call and chat to mechanic - brought it down to the shop and was a 5min fix for an expert (Tony). Thanks so much guys and particularly Tony on this occasion!

Outstanding service from Dean!My friend and I had decided to go for e-bikes just to make the hills on our rides that bit easier as we aren’t getting any younger and wanted our cycling to be pleasure not pain!With so many options on the market we did our research but there is nothing like testing (great little area with gradient as well as flat for all abilities) and in store knowledge which Dean provided in bucket loads. He was patient, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us right to the final purchase!We took the bikes on their maiden voyage today. Fantastic!!!!!!THANKS DEAN! I would like to say mark at the honiton road shop was very very helpful nothing was to much trouble I went home got my 2 boys he then got them on bike thay wanted one he had brought in to the shop and made just to see if my son would like it and let them test ride both bikes he made the process so easy and I would recommend him and the shop to anyone looking thanks again mark

Just purchased my first e-bike and could not fault the service received from the Outta Town shop. We dealt with Pete who advised on different bikes and arranged for me to test each ensuring I made the right decision. Pete ordered in the bike in a different colour for me and phoned as soon as it arrived for me to see. When viewing the bike we saw Dean who suggested taking the bike out into natural light to ensure I was happy with it. Upon collection Pete demonstrated the bike to me and assisted with fitting it in the car! Could not fault the service we received from everyone in this store.

Great service! Really helpful! What I thought was an expensive repair turned out to be just replacement pedals. They just inspected the bike, gave me some free advice and on my way! I’ll be back! Thanks guys!
