Family Dental Care

I changed dental practice after 35yrs with my current dentist and I was recommended to try this brand new state of the art facility in Prestonpans. On arrival the waiting area was spacious, bright and seating comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and the facilities more like a hospital than a dental practice, The dentist assigned to me was very welcoming and carried out my examination quickly and efficiently. Overall a very pleasant experience and also a practice I myself would now highly recommend.Stuart Duff

I was completely petrified about going to the dentist, so much so, two weeks of Bolgella gel each day for wisdom tooth pain.Until I was introduced toPrestonpans Family dentist (Dentist Furgason) put my mind at easy, polite, friendly and most of all gental. My experience with this practice - Ramsay in particular - has been excellent. Ramsay is professional and explains the detail behind all processes and procedures, whilst frequently checking in during the process.I would recommend to anyone.

Recently moved to east lothian. Called this morning with an emergency after calling NHS24 over the weekend who told me to contact local dentist Monday morning. Spoke with Chloe (I think) on reception who told me to call back to NHS24 (which was shut as it’s Monday morning). She wouldn’t listen to me what I was trying to tell her. She kept repeating herself and was quite rude and very unhelpful told me no one would see me and no other dentists near by would either.I called another local dentist who couldn’t have been more helpful and have now seen me first thing this morning to address the issue, and who also told me that if they wanted to help me they could have found a way to. Avoid.

I have always been anxious about dentists, as all of us I assume. This practice though was recommended to me by my wife, with was really happy with their service.Went in, meet my assigned dentist - Jack, and we started a couple of apportionments to make my teeth done.To be fair, I have never experienced to be that relaxed during the whole process.I can't relate to other dentists at this practice, but have to say I'm really lucky to be assigned with one I've got. And taking my wife's experience to account I have to say, that's the best dentist practice I've ever had.Totally recommend

Been good in the past , under the covid challenges they face, they need to survive but 320+ for a repair and 100 for ppe is absurd. Hopefully they get a handle on this soon.So that's £420 minimum for a crown. Ouch!

I cracked my tooth & unhappy with my current dentist, decided to register with Family Dental in Prestonpans. They gave me an appointment for the same day, registered me and fixed my tooth. My X-rays however revealed a broken wisdom tooth with an extraction the only sensible option to avoid any future problems. My dentist explained the X-ray so well, I could see that I had to get this done. Petrified and reluctant I was not looking forward to this at all and spent the 3 weeks leading up to the appointment reading dental blogs online and stressing myself out. Today was the day of the scheduled extraction and I cannot praise my dentist enough, he was excellent - kind, considerate and clearly able. The tooth was out within minutes. Dental work is awful but the right dentist can make such a difference!
