Nice and organised library, very friendly and helpful librarian helps with registration. Just remember to bring your coin if you want to do any printings.

I haven't been into the library for ages. It was a joy to go back. The staff are delightful. Very cheerful and helpful. They brought a selection of a particular authors books out to me when I couldn't find her books on the shelves.Top service!I was a little disappointed to find that newspapers and magazines had gone. No place to sit + browse either. That's a shame. All in all the library staff are providing an excellent service on what I imagine are fewer resources and less money.

The library is located in the centre of the city and has a good selection though it's not big. You can also get help from friendly staffs when you find books or need something. Anyone who wants to read books can use it without an ID card. If you want to borrow a book, you have to register on the website and get an ID card in the library. The waitross cafe on the same floor sells simple food and drinks. (ex. toast, burger, fish, coffee and cream tea...)

The public library is an impressive & well-lit space, fairly well laid out, with good-sized (and separate) study and computer areas, and plenty of social distancing between shelves. I was impressed by the reference section, particularly local history and architecture (only to be expected in Bath), but less impressed by the sciences. The electronics subsection has only 12 books, and most of those are on domestic electrical engineering! It's still a lot better than the FE/HE college library - which is why I visited the public one. It's not completely quiet in the study area; some people seem not to understand the principle. So I recommend ear muffs (or headphones on silent), to be sure.

I love Bath Library but they close the doors very early in weekdays. After school kids can not come if they goes to school not in city centre.

Absolutely brilliant library with a great children’s section, huge range of books, plenty of computers. A clean and tidy environment which is so lovely and light. Excellent staff and great central location.

I absolutely love using the Banes Mobile Library when it comes to Pensford every fortnight. Smart new van with fantastic selection of children's and adults books. Brilliant service using the Library App to reserve and renew books. Really friendly and helpful staff. Such an excellent service for the rural villages in Bath and North East Somerset.

Visited on 5.10.23 to use the public toilets. Fortunately one cubicle was reasonable but others absolutely filthy. Why has Bath become such a dirty city? If toilets are available for public use they should be regularly checked

Visited the library for the second time today. It is a lovely space with potential to be of great benefit to the community. However, it was extremely disappointing and infuriating to see that only 'grab and go' services were available. The study section was closed off, only 5 or 6 chairs out for computer access, which was limited to 30 minute use. My Wifi at home was down today and in my mind I thought ''no problem'', since I could work in the library. The staff were largely empathetic, letting me stay a bit to work, one member pulled up a seat for me (although they weren't allowed to). However, I was told I couldn't stay and would have to leave. I couldn't help but think about how damaging this could be for those without internet access. Someone that had just been made redundant came in later intending to use the internet and workspace in the library to search for new jobs. Only to be told he couldn't stay. Earlier I heard one of the library staff assisting an elderly women with access to her emails. Clearly this policy is being dictated by BANES public health directives, which seem to be overstepping their mark. There are many facets to public health, libraries are a key resource for those with limited access to the digital world and I would implore BANES to reopen the study area and restore full computer access. This will only act to further inhibit the underprivileged. I was only there a short while and this was abundantly clear. If the library can't reopen now I am struggling to see any point in the future when it could. Look forward to seeing this resource back in full use.
