Best views of Edinburgh. Not a difficult climb - would definitely prefer over Arthur's seat

Even in the wind and rain, worth a visit!Beautiful view from the top where you can see the city and Arthur's Seat. There's a car park at the top if you wanted to drive up there. 4 flights of stone steps plus an uphill walk from the entrance where Calton Hill meets Regent Road.If you're uneasy on your feet then take hiking poles or a friend :)

Nearest accessible steps up to Calton Hill from the city centre, if you come from Princes Street. Beautiful hill view, you can see the north sea afar and most of famous Edinburgh landmarks from Calton Hill. Expect some stairs and uphill tarmac pathways.

Great panoramic views over Edinburgh, and quieter than other areas of the city.

Steep steps to the top of Calton Hill, but well worth it! Fantastic views across the city including the castle, Leith docks Palace of Holyrood House, and even the Forth Rail Bridge in the distance. Whenever I am visiting Edinburgh I always go here and I am never disappointed. Oh and don't forget the monuments as well!!!

Not a very long hike. A short stroll to get a majestic view of the entire Edinburgh city
