Hallam Conference Centre

Excellent venue for me as a conference organiser. Efficient and helpful staff, there are always familiar faces, no agency staff. Delicious food that I always look forward to, catering for different diets and sustainably sourced. Excellent AV and technicians in the auditorium also. Highly recommend.

A BAD EXPERIENCEThis venue is shabby and smells old .It's vastly overpriced and the catering is at stupendously high costings with coffee at £4.50 for a small cup (it would have cost me 5K to provide for my guests ) . The audio visual is dated and the main room stage is a decrepid untidy farce for presenters to speak from . I was promised that all these points would be addressed at my first site visit and when I Popped in for a second site visit to check things had been done before paying a deposit NONE of the agreed improvements were done and when Lina , the manageress called me for payment she denied any of the agreed points had been discussed - even when she was not part of the conversations - shouting me down and fast to resort to a trigger happy rehearsed list of excuses at ever increased volumes. Deplorable management , shoddy and shabby third rate venue riding on the coat tails of being in the so called prestigious west end . ADVICE ; My experience was diabolical before my events even happenned - I had to relocate two weeks before two major London AGMs - AVOID AVOID AVOID . If things were this bad before the events god forbid the lies and rudeness that would have followed if It had continued . There are many other venues at half the price SHOP AROUND AND GO ELSEWHERE. I mam now going to expect a cut n paste bland patronising response from the venue ADVICE !!! SHUTUP AND LISTEN !!

Was at a conference recently and very impressed with the venue, the meeting room was a good temperature and the seating was well thought out and not too crowded. Food at lunch was very nice, good to have a hot food option rather than just sandwiches, the salad looked good too. Smart, central location, easy to walk too from several tube stations.

Great venue, lovely staff and excellent catering .. only thing which lost a star was the plastic flowers and plants. Would be nice to have real foliage!

My experience using this venue and working with the staff was excellent, communication was clear and consistent. The room was set up well in advance and was tidy and well presented. Staff were always on hand to help, the catering was wonderful and I had no problems throughout our event. I hope to use Cavendish again for one of my events as I had a great experience with them and their venues.

Beautiful building, variety of function rooms, amazing team, central location, great technical support and lovely food!We held a conference last last week, as always Franciska leads a great team at the Hallam and is very responsive and supportive. The Council Chamber is an historic room and it’s really nice to have daylight on a sunny day but slides on screen still legible. Richard provided av support for our hybrid event and all went extremely smoothly. Our delegates have very particular dietary needs and the team go to great lengths to create imaginative and delicious menus. Thank you we will be back in the Autumn!

Excellent central venue which everyone found easily, room and facilities were great. Fantastic buffet and very attentive staff who looked after us very well.

Bit chilly! Not enough seating for the number of attendees. Food average overall. And some sort of drumming band in the basement booked at the same time as our meeting!

Great location. But basic facilities. Conference rooms close to each other. So no sound insulation

Central conference centre - short walk from Great Portland Street underground.You are well separated within the centre - our conference did not meet any other conferences. Our conference space was sufficient (a little chilly…) sound was good & screens large.Refreshments & ‘snacks’ were plentiful & tasty. Lunch was also lovey.Toilets were clean & were cleaned throughout the day.Used cups & plates were cleared quickly from the conference room.We did not have another space so our lunch was carried upstairs & also ate at our conference table.I would recommend…being so central you obviously pay London prices.
