Crimdon Beach
it didn't inspire me that much. The period when I was there, the water was highly polluted. To get to the beach, it's a long walk and difficult for children to reach.

It can be busy and dirty with litter near the holiday park but bimble towards Hartlepool or Blackhall and you'll have the beach to yourself. Regular beach clean ups keep it nice but if you visit when a clean up is due, there is a lot of plastic waste. Walk a mile in either direction and it's completely different. clean white sandy beaches. Sandbanjs lead to warm pools or spend the day looking for Crimdon Crystal. Have a pony ride along the beach and back through the dene or a game of golf. Or just chill.

For us it was like discovering a hidden gem! We've been to so many of the beaches along the North East coastline but for some reason over so many years we managed to skip this one, but when we eventually went we were not disappointed! This is such a beautiful beach with amazing views.

Not the best beach I've been to! Access to the beach is terrible! Feel sorry for young kids, old people, anyone with disabilities or just anyone in general! Once on the beach there is a huge area of grass land and sand and then the beach is just full of stones and pebbles. Reception is hit and miss with the cliff sides and there are no shops or facilities unless you head all the way back up the steps and ramps! Only thing good is the view from certain angles. It's better to drive up the road to a better beach
