Foxhill Medical Centre

I have signed up to this surgery about 1 year ago and everytime I tried to get an appointment it has been somewhere else completely different and about an hour away all the time. I do not drive so it was almost impossible for me to get there. I have been trying to ring up for the past days and nobody picks up. I have been told I needed a referral 1 year ago to a nutritionist and made an appointment over the phone with gp and no one called me this is the worst medical centre I have ever seen will be changing to a different one.Also I have to call over 10 times to be able to get through but today I can’t even do that and I’m on 15th time calling now. By the time they reply there are no more appointments, RIDICULOUS!!

Beverley the receptionist- what a nasty woman.Every single time I call the practice she has an attitude, I understand appointments are now limited due to covid etc, but the tone in her voice, her attitude, and how unhelpful she is, is one of the main reasons the practice is going downhill. Everyone I speak to has something to say about how unhelpful she is. Sometimes she doesn’t even let me finish my sentence, always rudely interrupting me, she also has no sympathy for you what so ever. You could tell her that your arm is hanging off and she’d still try get off the phone asap.Would also like to say other receptionists I have spoke to have been very helpful, it’s just Beverly that seems to be nasty to patients.Drs are also very helpful, (that’s when I manage to get an appointment if Beverly allows it)

When calling to arrange an appointment they tell me there is nothing available and I can't book in advance. I asked if there was a number I could ring etc and the receptionist said I could go to the walk I'm centre. I explained I don't think this is an issue they could help with.Receptionist asked what was wrong and I explained my mental health is deteriorating and I am suicidal. She said a doctor would ring me back ASAP. That was at around 11am. It is now 15.14 and no phone call.Good job there are actual mental health facilities I could contact. Absolutely disgusting.

The last three times I have tried to get an appointment with this GP, I have had to ring one HUNDRED times (each time) and still not gotten through to a receptionist so have given up. The last time I was able to get past the automated messages I was given an appointment at a completely different GP which took me over an hour to get to (because I don’t drive). Do not recommend.

I have nothing but praise for the GPS who have seen me , treated me, and shown such care and respect throughout my illness , getting seen has not been a problem and receptionists have been great and helpful ,Getting through in a morning for an appointment is however difficult and then finding out all appointments are gone can be worrying. But on the whole Foxhill have been brilliant

Today I attended an appointment with Rebecca. She was extremely professional, thorough, caring and friendly. I was completely at ease, and not at all rushed. It was a 100% positive experience and I’m very grateful. I’ve always found this to be the case with other doctors I’ve dealt with too - especially Ian. I also have always found the reception staff to be extremely helpful and kind. I can’t remember all their names but Dee and Louise as well as all the others, have always sorted out any query or problem I’ve had in a kind and professional manner. Thank you to all the staff there

Was ringing for a doctor to call me back for 5 weeks. I was suffering with shocking headaches never felt pain like it just to keep getting told no appointments they've all gone. To then go to burncross medical centre who then told me I need an mri. Mri found fluid in my brain. So I have referral to neurologist. Went to northern general hospital and they sent a note saying I need some tablets that help reduce the fluid and can save my eyesight. Called this doctors and they are telling me I need to wait for an appointment which is 5 weeks away. What a joke I could loose my sight in that time and these clearly don't give a toss. needs closing down big time. I hope nobody has anything serious going on because they still wont care. Update... been reported to PALS and national health service

What a joke where do I start says online open till 6pm ring at 3pm closed for the day same everyday appointments non existent help non existent this doctors needs some major work doing with it service is terrible faster to go A&E and wait there all day 1 star is only because I can’t put zero

I’ve been trying to get an appointment for 3 weeks now trying every day with no luck. I was told to go to the walk in centre, after been seen by a doctor there he told me that I really needed to see my doctor. I tried again with the now usual story that there are no appointments. I now live in pain daily and they couldn’t care less. I gave 1 star because no stars wasn’t an option.

Ridiculous system got thru at 8.30 kept cutting me off after choosing either to press 1 or stay silent for receptionist managed to eventually after a frustrating 10 mins of faffing about with sodding machine to be told 10th in que.then got down to position 6 to be told no more appointments. I have to have my meds reviewed and need to see doctor been trying since last week to get thru ridiculous it is I.need these meds to function normally are they stupid. What a useless surgery worst I've ever been to
