If you need anything from branch staff never help ask you take book an appointment even you need your bank statement for more then 3 months. Instead of this anything tiny help you need they try to send you back instead making things easy. Why they keep over money that we earn after struggle and never get help

Security department blocked my account over a week ago. Visited this branch three times to unlock my funds- no available employees to help me. One branch with 3 customer service employees is not enough for Edinburgh. Going to Livingston tomorrow thanks barclays for your extra care about your clients.

Appears to be really understaffed. I went in to get my name changed on my accounts. The first time I visited I was told they wouldn't have time to see me. The next time I visited I was told I would need to wait about 30 minutes as someone was in the queue in front of me, I ended up waiting about 50 minutes. The staff were polite and apologetic for my wait, I don't think it's their fault, think they just need some more staff.

I was advised to go in first thing in the morning, which I did. I was seen immediately.My transaction was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. They made an attempt to sell me insurance but took a no" gracefully."

Unable to do any basic service you need such as printing bank statement - half of the machine is broken and there’s one staff desk to deal with everything

On June 28, 2023 at night I noticed two men “fixing” the ATM with a power drill. Since it’s a very touristy area I assume they were replacing the face plate and stealing credit card numbers. I only have wifi so I haven’t been able to contact the bank so I hope someone sees this review.

Visited the branch today on 16 April 23 at 12.40hrs to make a large payment.Extremely rude staff who were not helpful at all. People working in customer services need to understand that the worse they are at their jobs, the more automation will take place, which results in job loses.The attitude of the young women with blonde hair with especially “unhelpful” and rude.Witnessing the standards of professionalism, they will struggle in the current economic climate seeking meaningful employment in the future.The bank manger needs to take note of the ever increasing negative reviews for this branch and rectify these issues

TLDR - if you're dealing with Barclays and are in Edinburgh, just go to the branch. Nothing else works.Disclaimer here - Barclays as a whole; awful, but the Edinburgh staff were great.I've had a HTB ISA for a few years, just needed the statement, then it paid out and the documents.I'll start by highlighting that their app barely ever functions, I've had historic issues but in this particular instance I just needed a statement. I couldn't get this through the app because that functionality wasn't working and couldn't get it through the online portal for the same reason. Eventually resolved, but pretty frustrating (did ask for documents to be posted me, they never arrived). Then called to close out my ISA, fair while on the phone but seemed like there was progress and then the line cut, so nothing happened.Went into the Edinburgh branch, they were very busy but they helped me close out everything pretty swiftly, was told I'd receive my closing statement in a few days...shocker - 20 days later I've still not received anything.Went into the branch again, they were super busy again but managed to give me the documents in person with a smile after a wee wait.My address has been the same since I opened the account, and I did have someone on the digital channel tell me that they'd sent me everything, but it's a bit bizarre that I receive all my expected mail but somehow nothing from them. I'd avoid banking with them in the future purely based on inconvenience, but again Edinburgh staff were great and wouldn't want to give less stars for them.

Absolute joke of a bank. Machines don’t work properly yet you’re forced to use them because apparently speaking to an actual human is against their rules.Went in today and was asked to use the machines again instead of the teller section. Machine ate my money then spat it out, minus £40. I then had to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get to the desk (two tellers on but only one seeing to anybody, even with a queue forming) and when I did was made to feel like it was somehow my fault that their system doesn’t work, and that I must have counted wrong.I advised them to check their machine and low and behold the missing £40 was there after all.I wonder how many times this has happened to people and the bank have just kept the money.I do not recommend.

Made an appointment over phone call, confirmed the document I need to open an account, but then denied that during appointment. Unprofessional and no customer services, based on my observation on how they treat other people in the lobby that day, they do not want any current or potential customers. I thought HSBC’s services is poor enough, but this bank just lower the limits.
