Chulmleigh Congregational Church

One of the oldest Congregational churches in the land, going back to 1633. Given a warm welcome from Liz Havard; shown all its treasures including a chair Cromwell used to sit in when visiting. A real little treasure packed with history; the church where Risdon Darracott, whom Whitefield called the Star in the West lived as a child under his father Richard's solid Bible teaching. Well worth a visit!
