AE Tuition Centre- Langley

Study materials was good, but very commercial approach , no personal attention, it's become like school not a tution. No visibility on how our kid is performing. Taking ages for assessment test result.

It is a great tuition place which helped me and my sister with our 11+ immensely. They provide great courses, materials and teachers. Downside is that it is quite expensive and the assistants mess up quite a bit (which I understand though). I know a young boy prepping for 11+ who doesn’t have much money, another great tuition place said that of course he could come, with a large discount, AE said no it’s a business.

No parking!Very hectic after tuition hours!Full class of over 30 kids , did a big mistake for signing my son into it, unfortunately cannot turn back time!

My child goes to Tution here. Good place for tutoring for 11+ exams and other tuitions. Best days are Saturdays / Sundays as there are parking restrictions.

Whilst the centre is friendly and we received a large stock of books the content is often extremely challenging - often well beyond what is needed for the actual paper which initially seems great however this made the weekly homework very daunting and off putting for my son - even though he is greater depth in virtually all subjects at school. Although again the teacher was supportive the actual curriculum made it feel like the 11 plus was an impossible test. I subsequently took my son out half way. I then joined “Teachitright” at my son’s school and found that the books were far more accessible and enjoyable for my son to complete and he and I could see how it would support his SATs too. I can see why Teachit Right has been accommodated by a number of school sites. The homework was shorter and rather than doing work at Einstein level it focused on work that is really relevant to the paper - which is indeed competitive but not impossible, I wish I had joined Teachitright sooner as it’s all been a bit of a disjointed journey. Perhaps trying a couple of places simultaneously initially is the best way to know what is right for your child. If your child is a genius and likes doing work a couple of years ahead from where they are then this could be the right venue for you - it wasn’t for us. Staff friendly and helpful but the curriculum was too challenging and onerous and not sufficiently accessible.

who decided to put a tuition centre on an industrial estate!!!!!!!!!! a 5 second drive down a single road now takes 20 mins resulting in late deliveries as well as employees being late for work , the children that they have hired to sort out the through put of cars are absolutely useless as they would rather stand around having a chat the stop cars for parking on double yellow lines or doing a 3 point turn in the middle of a busy road instead of driving a couple of extra meters up the road to the roundabout, all the other business's on the estate are trying to sign a petition to get the centre moved elsewhere and return the estate back to normality .

Very very disappointed.. my son just finished his 1 yr course and feel like we made a BIG mistake.. unfortunately it is too late for us but taking time to review so it helps other parents.No timely assessment reports for us to review and help.. classes finish on the 20th July but the end of year report is jot given until end of August and not sure what help it would be for parents getting this report a week or two before the actual exams.They just have 1 free mock (anymore are chargeable) and they took 4 weeks to confirm results and another 4 week classes wasted to discuss those papers when they could have covered more topics… which are being left for ‘advanced’ summer classes… another money making scheme. Really disappointed and feel that we should have gone for Harrow 11plus which seems to be better as I see from all the reviews online.

Very good, the only thing is that there are sometimes too many books, and can be overwhelming.

If this tuition centre can squeeze more children into the class room and believe me, they will. Its more like a school, not tuition. One tutor is teaching about 30 children's. I wouldn't recommend it.

Went there very first time today and after the first class, my child was telling us that teacher and assistant were arguing with each other. Also, my child said that the assistant said the D word to the teacher in front of all the children/students! So unprofessional behaviour, shouldn't really employ anyone with that attitude!
