Whistlefish Art Gallery - St. Ives

Some good prints for sale but unfortunately that's where the positives end. Customer service very poor, attempted to buy a print and was told it was not in stock (despite featuring in the window). Then told to return next day where it might be on the delivery, did so and still not on delivery. Left with no print and staff really not bothered nor helpful.

Whilst on holiday in St Ives my wife and I visited your store and had every intention of purchasing a framed print by Clair Rossiter (St Ives map). We spoke to a member of staff in store who pointed out that we could order the print online with free delivery and a £5 discount and therefore decided to proceed this way.I've now tried to order the print and have established that we were given incorrect information and that the offer isn't valid on prints. I've confirmed this by speaking to head office who inform me that there is nothing they can do to help other than provide feedback to the store.The print was on sale in store at £35. To order the same online will cost just under £55.

Me and my other half were excited to go here as we have previously bought art from the padstow shop.Unfortunately we didn’t even go into the shop in St Ives. On deciding to go in the woman behind the desk barked loudly at us ‘no strollers in here’ in a very abrupt and rude tone. We were both taken aback by this and immediately decided not to bother. I see from another review the same has happened before and apparently there is a sign although not one we saw. If she had let us know in a friendly tone one of us would of-course have waited outside with the pram. As a first holiday as a family of three we were excited to get a piece of art from here as a momento however If you want people to buy and shop here, you need to have staff that are friendly and welcoming. Not people who bark at customers with no respect.We continued to Blue Harbour gallery further down where we received a very friendly Cornish welcome and bought a beautiful piece of art directly from the artist.

Lovely shop however quite pricy, they only sell prints in frames which seems a little odd. A print we saw online and wanted was £30 but we went in store and it was £60. £30 for a simple white frame seems a little too pricey. Otherwise the art is absolutely gorgeous and very unique.

Popped in a couple of times to look at the pictures. All staff were really helpful. In the end I purchased online, the 1m x 1m canvas, tea towels and cards. All reasonably priced and good quality.

Whistlefish always has such a wonderful selection of cards and products to choose from, and at great prices due to the deals that are always on offer! Really good value for money, very polite staff in both stores in St Ives, and very tidy! Definitely take a visit here!

Visited Whistlefish card shop on The Wharf/Harbour in St Ives recently. Was warmly welcomed by a very pleasant helpfull young lady with long dark hair. I purchased several lovely quality cards for all occasions, a nicely decorated tin to keep them in and 9 large hessian tote shopping bags depicting Daisy pattern and Harbour Scenes as well as 6 colourful small hessian tote shopping bags. I always make a point of visiting this shop and stocking up on cards whenever I'm in Cornwall. I can always find something nice to purchase at a good price. Well worth a visit.

This review regards the branch opposite the post office.Lady called Karen was incredibly rude and abrupt and just talked utter spiel. Transaction went through the till and apparently it hasn’t processed through their system so my mother had to repay? However the card reader said approved and also the money had been took from my mums bank alreadyKaren refused to let us have the items and told us to go or repay. She didn’t once apologise she tried to patronise us with this is how tills work. It isn’t . She told us it’s a ghost transaction that will automatically be refunded . Refunded by who? Apparently the transaction isn’t logged in the till so how would it be refunded ? Then she she told us after 5 mins of back and forthing that this happened with a lady the other day and the lady come back and said that Karen was right . Which was utter fantasy . Karen was rude condenscending patronising and now my mum has paid £42 for some cards instead of £21 which weren’t even for her. And now has to spend her time ringing back and forth whistlefish to get a refund. Karen was rude , patronising , telling lies and really upset my mum. Absolutely disgusted considering my mum has bought xmas cards from here every holiday since it opened

Nice collection for decorating walls with images of local beaches\towns mainly. They are usually expensive, but we got a large art for only £30 last week (Mar 2022), as they had a promotion running Everything £30 or LESS"! Lovely staff as well. Taking a star off for their expensive prices when bought at full price"
