A really good place to stay to attend Derriford or Nuffield hospital. The hotel is looking a little tired and could do with some updating but was still very clean. This hotel still uses physical keys rather than fobs or cards.

Stayed unexpectedly because of a hospitalisation. Extremely kind man on reception attempted directing me from the hospital to hotel. I still got lost but he was a much appreciated friendly voice after an awful day.Travelodge have a good property here. It was spotlessly clean, I’ve already mentioned one man on reception, complimented by three other young women that were all friendly and helpful. Organising another room for our son to be next door.I was very surprised just how quiet the hotel was at night. I stayed from Saturday until Tuesday and heard hardly anything. I think the property is possibly used by visiting hospital staff as the only movement I heard was about the time of day prior to the early day shift starting. The Travelodge had plenty of parking and near enough to leave the car and walk to the hospital. Just know that it’s uphill from the hospital on the way back. There was also a large eatery called the Jack Rabbit a two minute walk away across the car park.Thank you to all the staff on reception and servicing the rooms. A job well done.

Great room and shower. Staff were very helpful, especially Fiona. Lots of free parking available (because it's a few miles from the town centre). It's right next door to The Jack Rabbit pub which serves delicious food.

The hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful. The location was perfect for me, visiting my husband in hospital over two weeks. The room was very quiet and comfortable. Good pub/restaurant next door.

I'VE SEEN BETTER ...Ancient decor? Funny smells? Love-making noises coming through your wall? If you like that sort of stuff, you'll love it here.Like most Travelodges that haven't been updated for a while, the decor is basic and neglected. As soon as you walk into the room, you'll notice the musty smells of a stale bathroom and a carpet that hasn't been shampooed since 1984.And if the questionable white and yellow stains don't horrify you, the paper thin walls (complete with sexy-time noises), draughty windows and the unmistakable sound of people getting in and out of the lift probably will. The only redeeming quality of this hotel are the staff (who were all quite lovely) and it's easy to find location. If you're desperate to stay somewhere, here is fine. If you have a choice ... go somewhere else.

Basic room and amenities. Easy access to shower with railing to hold onto when getting in and out. Building and room looks dated. Easy to get to with the car. A pub across if you want food. There is a vending machine in the hallway with basic snacks. Room is cold even though it supposedly regulated to 18 degrees and it is quite dark as there is no central lamp and lighting is provided by 4 wall lights. Brightest area is the bathroom. Bed is comfortable. The room i was in had two beds. Desk with a TV and a kettle and 2 mugs with tea and coffee sachets milk cups and sugar/sweetener.

Paid extra for WiFi which was very poor. The radiator in my room also made a very high pitched squeaking sound for hours at a time during the night even when I turned it down (it could not be turned off). Shower cubicle was too small - I’m neither tall nor especially broad but I still struggled to use it comfortably. Location is convenient for the hospital but very few places to eat (a pub which was fully booked when I tried to go, a few fast food places and an M&S Foodhall) & walking around the area is unpleasant due to the car-centric area. Some road noise but it didn’t bother me. Staff were great.
