no heating in whole building. No hot water. Electric heater By our table. Everyone one of us sat at our table was so cold, my daughter suffers with bad asthma tonight being so cold to and coming in to eat food and place was so cold hasn’t helped her! She come home unwell!Take my little girls toilet and they was even colder no hot water, also as a manger myself we was not told that there was not heating. Service was very slow considering it wasn’t even busy? This meal was ment be nice family meal for my mum birthday. Her food was not cooked right and then she had to sit and wait for her food be cooked then had eat by herself!Service was awful we barely had anyone come to our table we wanted dessert but got to a point that I ended up cutting my mum cake and giving it out because no one come over.Also waited while for someone take food order, server then told us that we had a pre order witch we didn’t. From start to finish my whole experience here was awful. I will be contacting manager to speak myself with them I never leave reviews but in this case I have had to because this was worst experience I’ve ever had at restaurant.

First visit to the Bear for over 20 years last night. Food was excellent, and a fantastic choice for vegetarians. The staff team were first rate, very friendly and attentive. Very enjoyable evening and we won't leave it another 20 years until our next visit

A really smart place to stop by. It was neat and clean and looked really nice. You have to register your car if you park in their parking spaces just outside. We passed by just for a few moments and would definitely choose this place to stop by again.

Staff let us in without a reservation which was nice.The mixed grill, garlic mushrooms, cherry bakewell and sea bass with scallops were boss.Dan served us and couldn't do enough to help us or make us feel more welcome.Cant wait to get back their

Booked for birthday meal with my famliy. On walking lovely and clean and welcoming. But on sitting down took my coat of and it was cold there was electric heater but not warming place up. Me and my famliy was all freezing cold which put a damper on evening.Had to go bar to order as no one around to order drinks and states table serviceI asked for my steak well done and it wasn't again wait ages to speak with any one about by time was sorted all my famliy had eaten and I was eating on my own . And when the steak came back it was over cooked so hard to eat. So again spolit it the experience. My famliy done me a cake. No body came up and asked did we want dessert so cut my cake and we was frozen so got the bill and left my granddaughters asthma had kicked of my son who has cp was in pain as his joints had got so cold even once we got home took us all ages to warm up. There was no hot water to wash your hands went been to the toilets

Lovely little country style pub, came for a Christmas meal, service was good, the food was a little slow and some of the items were a little sub par, but they were busy and overall we had an enjoyable evening.

Had a lovely lunch today. They do a really good steak, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The mini pud with hot drink was very good. Pete and colleagues looked after us very well and couldn't do enough to make our experience the best, thanks Pete for all your help.

Food was lovely and staff even better. I live off Allerton road so have loads of options available around here for food and drinks but the service in particular is faultless in the Bear and staff so prefer to go there now. I took my mum on Tuesday for food and drinks after work and was served by El and Josh. Nothing is too much for them and even at 18:30 when the whole restaurant area had every seat taken they still always manage to be genuinely happy and friendly and give the best service to all customers. Always checking everything is good and the efficiency was amazing. You don’t get that anywhere really anymore. Deffo be back soon and will highly recommend to friends and family.
