B+B York

This is a really nice place to stay and in a convenient location. The room was small but very comfortable and clean. We had a really nice breakfast each day and all the staff are extremely pleasant and hardworking. We found Keira to be particularly efficient and friendly. She was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Thanks Keira.

My wife and I have just had a 2 night stay , and everyone was pleasant and smiling, very good rooms, warm and comfortable, great breakfast, good location. Definitely will stay there again, well done to all the staff.

This is the best B&B i've stayed in by a mile. Absolutely fabulous stay of 2 nights. Our family had 3 rooms and all were spotless and comfortable.The staff are excellent, very welcoming and polite.Breakfast was amazing with large choice available and definitely sufficient to set you up for a day of exploring the wonderful sights and sounds of York.Has a small bar with Happy Hour.Highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in this historical city, accommodation close to York Minister and restaurants.Thank you for an amazing experience.

Lovely building. I booked the basis c double, it was clean and comfortable.. the staff make this venue - from the lovely lady host to the waitress in the morning... and the morning chef was a very pleasant young man ... breakfast was amazing,

We have booked this B+B because of the amazing reviews we saw online, I don’t know if we were just unlucky. I’ll start with the beginning. We have arrived to this B+B 2 hours and a half earlier(because it was pouring down and we weren’t in the mood to walk with our suitcase in that weather), so we have been seated with our Afternoon Tea a little earlier than planned(been booked for 1.30PM). Once we have finished our afternoon tea, we have asked if we can check in a little earlier, they said no, because the room is not ready. So we were left waiting in the dining area for 2 hours. After 2 hours, now this is 3PM our checking time, I had to go to ask if our room is ready, no one bothered to come and take us to our room, even though I have asked politely a couple of times if the room is still not ready, so they knew we would like to check in as soon as possible. Anyway, I was thinking, after over 2 hours of getting the room ready, the room must be spotless out of this world, but no! When we got in the room, it wasn’t hoovered so we had to buy some slippers to don’t take the dirt from the floor in bed. Then there were dead flies, spider webs and dust at the edge of the windows and there was mould in the toilet(see the pictures)! This is unacceptable! Then the omelette I had for breakfast was uncooked, so I had to leave almost half of it in the plate. Next time we’ll definitely book somewhere else. This was our first trip to York and we absolutely loved it, so we will definitely come back, but will book with someone else. I gave 2 stars because when we had our breakfast the ladies were helpful and welcoming, also can’t fault the guy that checked us out, he was lovely and friendly throughout our stay, compare to the first bunch we have met when we got in the hotel, unwelcoming, unfriendly, unbothered and moody. The black hair guy and the blond girl - these two really need a bit more training on customer service - a smile, being welcome and polite is not going to kill you - going beyond the expectations will bring your customers back - this is just a little tip, as I’ve trained many people in customer service, but you two couldn’t even do the basics.

Modern comfortable room with en suite and tea/coffee. Very quiet at night which is a big plus. Lovely staff and great breakfast with plenty of options. Parking excellent, no problems.

Great place to stay. We stay here every year for a weekend stay three friends in a triple room which would also be ideal for a family of four. Rooms are nice, comfortable, spacious and clean.Car park is available and parking to the front.Fantastic breakfast, with a great selection.

Excellent accommodation. I’d stay here again. No restaurant onsite for dinner but there were places that were within walking distance. Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ian.
