Barchester - Ashfields Care Home

I perform music for the residents at Barchester Ashfields and I must say it looks like a very comfortable, well kept place to live. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is always a possitive vibe when I visit. The residents seem happy and the decor is also very nice. I would highly recommend it as I comfortable, happy place for elderly relatives.

Ashfields is an amazing care home, ALL the staff are so friendly, helpful supportive and always make you feel very welcome. The care and support residents receive is extremely caring and compassionate to all their individual needs. We’ve stayed and had lunch with dad on a few occasions and the food is delicious, with a varied menu which is always on display. I honestly can’t recommend this home enough, with 24/7 care and the freedom for residents to access the secure gardens at their own leisure is very pleasing to see. Ashfields is always immaculately clean whenever we visit. Every single member of staff is a pleasure to be around.

The staff were lovely and made it feel like a real home and the residents were open to our mini musical Beyond the Blue Seas. The staff joined and encouraged the residents making it a fabulous experience. A friendly atmosphere.

Very engaging staff at Ashfields, we did a Christmas art session and everyone who joined in got something out of it. Ashfields is a very caring home and staff very patient and attentive.

I only see the residents in the lounge but they all appear to be well looked after and content . The staff seem dedicated and caring.The activities coordinator is very proactive and the residents are occupied andentertained by a programme of activities and entertainment.As an ex agency nurse I have been in many Care homes, from what I have observed Ashfields is excellent

Having been a contractor working for several years at Ashfields and the other care homes in the area for Barchester ,I can honestly say it’s been a real pleasure having both the support and help from the staff and meeting the residents who have taken an interest in what I’m doing.The staff bend over backwards to help and make sure that I’m able to get things done with as little disruption as possible.

My elderly friend has been a resident at Ashfields for almost two years due to declining general health and mental capacity.. During that time she has been cared for by the Ashfields Staff with dignity, kindness and love. The care staff work together to provide a very clean, comfortable, loving and family orientated home for their residents. There is a varied programme of weekly activities which is also emailed to relatives for information and meal menus look inviting and nutritious. In addition, I appreciate greatly the fact that the care home administrator always finds time to help with any queries I may have relating to my friend and her personal affairs when I visit. I can only admire, praise and thank all the staff at Ashfields for their patience, care and dedication to my friend and all the residents in their care.

Wonderful caring environment, super staff & residents, really enjoyed visiting for dances & music of Mexico

We were asked to take some Classic Military Vehicles for the residents to view yesterday, we were impressed with the care and attention given by the staff to the residents & were pleased to have been able to bring a little pleasure to the residents.
