A short walk from the station, it is east to see why this hotel is so revered. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our stay and our room was nice, but was on the top floor with no lift.Look forward to returning again.

Amazing cocktails at the cocktail bar, funky, well air conditioned rooms and friendly owner! Altogether great stay! Would advise asking for a sea view room!

Did not book a room due to website popups annoyingly appearing on screen every time I tried to look at something.There is no need to tell me a customer from Switzerland had a great stay. Im sure he did and I would have looked in the reviews and found that out for myself. Shame as your location would have suited my needs. Struggled to find details on car parking so after the last popup I gave up.

Excellent hotel, with experienced and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to help with anything. Breakfasts are delicious and rooms are well presented, modern and very clean. Amazing place, definitely recommend!

The mattress in our room was completely broken - springs totally gone on one side of the bed - a big sad, sorry hole. It’s not something you notice until you get into bed, so we had to change rooms late at night. The second room had a better mattress but it was still sagging and very tired. Everything else about the hotel was lovely, including the bed linen, cleanliness and service. I highly recommend the hotel team replace and retire worn mattresses.

Clearly, the management of this hotel feels entitled to abuse people’s email. Not a great experience. Avoid it unless you want to be flooded with email. I am not sure why they feel that I signed up for unlimited and unsolicited email. I never created an account and therefore cannot go to my account to review my “choices”.

We had a lovely wedding night stay at Drakes last Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The room was fabulously decorated, comfortable and complete with an amazing view of the beach and a perfectly positioned bath tub to make the most of it.Staff were incredibly helpful and the little congratulations card was a sweet way to welcome us to our room. The breakfast was lovely and our waitress was so friendly that she made our first morning together as a married couple.Thank you for a wonderful end to our special day.

Spent a Saturday night at wonderful Drakes Hotel. We received a very warm welcome from Antony at the front desk and Kacy escorted us to our delightful, pristine, airy room.. any requests we had were dealt with efficiently and politely. They also took the time to help with things to do and places to visit whilst we were in Brighton. We would be very happy to visit Drakes again.. Right on the coast, ten minutes walk from the pier, perfect place to explore Brighton. We drove down and it was bad weather so we were grateful for the hotel parking. The room was clean and tidy, perfect for our needs. The ensuite was down a few stairs but had everything required. Breakfast was in the half basement and was worth walking down to. I will recommend this hotel to our friends if we do not have room when they visit us. The bar is open to residents 24h, perfect for a last drink before bed. A word of warning there is no lift and some people did struggle with the stairs. If you are fit and able this is the hotel to stay in if visiting Brighton.
