Awful people, health and safety hazards everywhere - a few children and I almost died in a stampede due to the staff wanting to have a joke with me and put me on a horse that was uncontrollable, while the instructor just laughed.Their attitude is disgusting. If you want your children to be safe, don't take them to this so called riding school.

Used to ride here around 4 or 5 years ago yogi was my absolute favourite so sad of his passing and the instructor who used to teach me not sure if she is still there but she was nice and cared for her riding students

I have tried this riding school for the last 3 weeks. My daughter had 2 classes then I joined her with my eldest for the third. I have to say before I joined the class I wasn't overly impressed with the school, and joining the class myself with my eldest daughter, who has Instructed classes herself, I realised how awful this school is. There were 15 in the class, so a lot of sitting around on the horse, the Instructor didn't explain how to do anything, and there was no way she could have known how competent each rider was. Most of the leads in the class were chatting amongst themselves, standing around not knowing what to do or on their phone. When my daughter went do do her jump, no one warned her that the horse she was on didn't really like jump, so she couldn't prepare properly and came off, and no accident report was filled out. Out of the 3 schools I have used this is definitly the worst. Needless to say, we will not be attending again.

I have been using this school for over a year and reluctantly the past 6 months but I’m now at the end of my tether with them.Their attitude towards paying families is disgusting especially in the way the instructors deal with young children. My daughter is 5 years old and has come on a long way, however they constantly yell at her when she struggles to understand their complex instructions. They criticise her for not listening when actually she doesn’t understand what she is being told. Instead they should focus on their coaching skills and learn something themselves as positive reinforcement goes much further. On one occasion the instructor Katie was so awful my daughter was left in tears after her confidence was completely blown. I refused to go back to her again and fed back to the stables. However I feel Alex attitude has got progressively worse whilst at first it was clear he was the better instructor. What a shame. After today’s lesson I won’t be returning as finally my daughter has asked me to find somewhere else as she keeps feeling sad. At only 5 years old she says how hard it is to learn to ride and how hard she is trying but she gets told off infront of the whole class when something isn’t done right. The instructors would do well to remember they are dealing with young children and perhaps a change in tactic might prove more effective. For anyone thinking of going here, be prepared for this plus all round bad attitudes and classes so full with lots of standing around. I gave them a second chance but today they blew it and won’t be receiving my money anymore. Nasty people.

Very poor customer service from the lady who was on reception on Saturday morning. The way she spoke to her staff was shocking and trying to get a refund from her proved to be very difficult. Avoid at all costs go to a riding school that actually care

Fabulous Friendly Riding School! We’ve been at St Leonard’s for 18months and we truly feel apart of the family <3Alex is an incredible riding instructor, my 5 year oldson has such a wonderful relationship with him. Alex really explains things clearly and checks he understands what is being asked of him particularly now he is off the lead rein. This achievement is truly down to Alex, he has brought my son out of himself and his confidence has gone from strength to strength in the saddle, we are now looking forward to a fantastic showing season together. All the staff are truly friendly and are extremely approachable, nothing is too much trouble.St Leonard’s is by far the best riding school around! Keep up the good work to All The Team At St Leonard’s :-)
