I fell over and split my forehead open on a lamppost today. My eyebrow was drooping down and I had a huge gash about 4cm long. Blood everywhere. I went the Kings hospital A&E and was treated by Dorian. He was amazing! Not only was he reassuring and calming but the 9 stitches he put in were next level. Perfect relocation of the skin, my eyebrow is back to normal. Really neat job. Cheers Dorian I appreciate the amazing work you’re putting in and thanks for taking the time and effort to sort me out! DO NOT go here even if your life depends on it. Go to St. Thomas. Waited EIGHT hours from 9 pm till 5 in the morning. Outrageous. They’re highly understaffed so it’s not really the staff’s fault but that doesn’t matter. Just don’t go. You will wait at least 8 hours on a very good day but no day is a good day at this a&e. People I know have waited 12 hours.

I would recommend travelling further to avoid this place. Our local kid's a&e is North Middlesex but had to go here when visiting family. It didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. There was a period where no one's name was being called for hours. It was far less busy than north middlesex but so much slower. We were eventually seen after around 6 hours and told to go home despite my one year old son having a fever of 39. Having other services to compare it to I would avoid this place like the plague.

Terrible. 12 hours for 2 blood tests and saw 4 different people who all asked the same questions. I don't think I've ever seen people move so slowly and act so disinterested. Lots of staff milling around and chatting with each other. Inefficiency taken to a whole new level.

I waited for 11 hours after checking in and not once did my name get called. I asked several times for an update on the expected waited time, to which I was told 7 hours from arrival time, which later became 8 hours from arrival time and so on. When they quoted me 9 hours at the point I had already been there 10 hours, I decided to leave and booked a private appointment costing me a fortune. Absolutely shocking service and a complete waste of time!! I appreciate the staff are probably trying their best but they seem completely useless and unwilling to help. Do not come here if you need urgent attention as any attention you do get certainly won't be urgent!!

My recent visit to King's College Hospital's Children's Emergency Department was a mixed experience that left me with conflicting emotions. While I am grateful for the availability of the sensory room, which provided a comforting space for my daughter, I was disappointed by the excessive wait times we encountered. One positive aspect of our visit was the inclusion of a sensory room within the Children's Emergency Department. The sensory room offered a calming and supportive environment for children, particularly those with sensory sensitivities or autism. It provided a respite during the anxious waiting period and allowed my daughter to feel more at ease in an otherwise overwhelming situation. I commend King's College Hospital for recognizing the importance of catering to the unique needs of children in an emergency setting. However, the overall experience was marred by prolonged wait times. Despite the presence of the sensory room, we endured an excessive wait that tested our patience and heightened our anxiety. It was disheartening to observe other families arriving after us and being seen by medical professionals before we were, especially considering the specialized nature of the Children's Emergency Department. Moreover, the lack of communication during the wait compounded our frustration. We were left in the dark regarding the reasons for the delay or an estimated timeline for when our daughter would receive the necessary care. Transparent and timely communication is essential, particularly in an emergency department that caters to children, as it helps alleviate anxiety and enables parents to better support their child during the waiting period. While the sensory room provided some solace, it is essential for the Children's Emergency Department to address the issue of excessive wait times. Timely and efficient care is crucial for children in distress, and extended waiting periods can have a negative impact on their well-being and recovery. Allocating appropriate resources and streamlining the patient flow are crucial steps that need to be taken to ensure that children receive prompt attention and appropriate medical care.In conclusion, my visit to King's College Hospital's Children's Emergency Department was marked by mixed experiences. The presence of the sensory room was a valuable asset that provided comfort to my daughter. However, the excessive wait times and lack of effective communication were disappointing. I urge the hospital administration to address these issues and prioritize timely care for children in need, while maintaining the supportive environment of the sensory room.

Horrible. Was reffered by 111 told it was vital I go or they'll send ambulance to my home. To then be there for 9 hours and litterally had to leave as I had baby at home who is breastfed.Theres dr/nurses sitting around doing nothing but giggling when there's people waiting the xray takes 10 seconds max yet you have to wait 4 hours just to go through to a&e xray department . Let's not even get started in hiw long it takes to just do blood work . This hospital is a sham and this is why alot of people just stay at home suffer in silence / die . Due to the discombobulated systems they have in place.

Disgraceful! Extremely unwell patient, having endured a stroke but left on a seat by cold door way with minimal clothing. 18 hours wait. NHS has failed and doctors are only doctors for the status. Very sad.
