Walking distance from the Airbnb we stayed in , so it was perfect. Popped in a couple of times and shared some starters which were very good. Posh chips were amazing!

Staff Christmas meal. A well planned menu with vegetarian options for each course. Cheerful staff made the event really special. The booking system is difficult, with e-mails disappearing into junk mail at each end, but worth persevering with.

Very old decor, the barmaid was polite and friendly, new waitress, didn't have a clue about wine. Took our order, I wanted the salmon but was also told there was a seafood special, cod wrapped in parma ham, with Mediterranean veggies and crushed potato. So that's what I went for. My sister wanted cod and chips. The waitress was quick to return to tell me they have no med/veggies which I found peculiar as we were eating at 6 pm early evening. I asked for a mixed salad substitute.Then the food came out. Mine looked good but the cod was overcooked and dry. My sister's chips tasted overcooked and oily think they need an oil change in the fryer. I won't be returning!

Had a fantastic experience here earlier today for our Sunday lunch. Really enjoyable food and great service. We had 2 young boys (5 & 7) who both have very picky eating habits. Staff here went above and beyond to accommodate their needs and helped make the entire experience a really great one for our family. Thank you to everyone at the Duke for making it a great meal out today :)

Sat out side the front of the pub, which is on a not very busy road, as the back need the grass cutting.Didn't eat but the menu was extensive and well priced. The bar staff were friendly and the best and wine were all well priced.

First time dining at the Duke. The atmosphere was great, staff were very friendly and welcoming and had great banter. Thoroughly enjoyable evening, definitely will be returning

Really enjoyed lunch today, friendly efficient service. The food was far better than a chain pub, This is a really nice find. We will be back
