Not my best Starbucks experience. A quiet coffee spoiled by the manager talking loudly about her dislike of other staff members. Apparently Jamie is horrible and toxic and she hates him, and she isn’t going to let Rosie take over the store because it’s her store. Good for her that she wants to work elsewhere in the hotel, but her practically shouting her affairs across the store makes it highly off putting for all customers. Walk around the corner to the other Starbucks instead.

So I live in York,and it was my second visit in here,quite liked the atmosphere the first time but...£4.70 for a small pumpkin spiced latte with cream! I mean seriously!?? Not sure if that's the standard charge across all Starbucks recently as I normally venture into the Starbucks at Foss island, that price is absolutely ridiculous and if that's the case across the board i won't be back to any of them!! Frosty service at the till also!

Popped in for a coffee while waiting for my transport. Wanted a filter coffee but at the time did not have any on, so was offered an americano for the same price.Friendly staff and quick service

Haven't exactly been into this Starbucks before and even though its adjacent to a hotel, I don't think I've ever come across a Starbucks that doesn't take a scan and pay on the app and I can't believe that at all, the person behind the counter told me when willing to pay on the appand had to use all of my remaining change instead I just find that completely ridiculous to be honest and whether that's down to the hotel management or the owner, perhaps they ought to re-consider this because a lot of members of the public use the app and spend money on it for paying for their coffee's that way, I don't know if the staff have an issue with that but perhaps they ought to think about this at least, that way they can still get paid on the app, think about it at least.

Doesn't take the app or gift cards so a starbucks but not a starbucks, part of the hotel apparently.... wouldn't recommend

A nice clean and comfortable franchised branch of Starbucks within the Malmaison hotel. They don't accept payment by the Starbucks app or with a Starbucks Gift Card, but they will discount your purchases by 10% instead.
