Innkeeper's Collection Brighton, Patcham

Room and bathroom was much smaller than our previous visit and the decor was very poor. Ceiling paper was dropping down and there were cracks in the window wall in the corner from ceiling to floor. Similar black mould around the window behind the secondary double glazing and the bathroom must be one of the smallest we've had in a hotel. When going for breakfast, found out that we had been incorrectly checked in - it was eventually sorted out but not helpful.Breakfast was not great - no back bacon available (replaced by streaky) and the food was not hot when served - disappointed as this is not our first stay at Miller and Carter Brighton and breakfast is usually good.

Easy to find, private free parking, easy friendly check in. Spacious, clean well appointed room. Excellent breakfast- good quality ingredients, beautiful orange juice, soya milk available. Great menu choices. Easy friendly check out. Only improvement suggestions, sealant needed replacing on the outside of the shower ( it looked old a grubby even though it's actually clean), an offer of more toast at breakfast and some condiments on the breakfast buffet - conserves and ketchup. The staff were friendly and helpful.

You are basically a steakhouse with rooms rather than a 'proper' hotel and thus the ambience is somewhat limited. Our room was odd with a large step up into the bathroom which was a bit of a problem for my wife whose mobility is a bit limited however we did get a walk in shower which was what we asked for. I was surprised that the breakfast did not include any cereal or fruit and we opted for the french toast each day - a bit more variety and options would have been good.Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome which was great. Having a car park was a big plus.

The room was the smallest hotel room I had ever been in.It was clean but quite mouldy and overall extremely disappointing for the amount we paid. If it had been fairly priced for what it was I'd say fair enough but definitely not worth what we paid.Neither myself or my partner slept well due to people chatting in the hallway at silly o click in the morning which you could hear clear as day, this was extremely frustrating, in addition the head of the bed was against the hallway which didn't help the noise situation.Location was good and had very good bus links into Brighton. It was only £2 per person into town which I think was reasonable.

It's a nice hotel, and with a good location only 10 mins ride into town! It has a free car park which is very rare in Brighton. Only downside it's we got woken up by someone who was walking past out room as the floorboards were creaky! A few mould in the bathroom, apart from that nothing else. Will definitely stay here again!

My colleague and myself only stayed the one night . We were welcomed by Epifany , who ran through everything we needed to know about our stay very professionally, yet also very personable with a smile! Breakfast was 10 beautifully presented on the plate and a delight to eat. We were looked after by Sophie who was very upbeat and friendly. Nothing was too much for her , very professional!

I stayed 1 night at this hotel and I can safely say that I have never been so disappointed before, after an extremely uncomfortable and restless nights sleep. My party collectively paid roughly £600 for 3 rooms. Unfortunately the weather cannot be helped, at 30° heat we were provided with 1 fan that barely produced a luke warm flow of air on the highest setting. 2 rather small windows that only opened half way as we weren't allowed to open the balcony doors. My partner ended up barely sleeping on the floor in front of said fan due to the sauna like heat of the room, we would've been better off sleeping in the hallway.At 4am, the fire alarm" went off due to no fault of the hotel or staff. However

There for a 99 birthday celebration. Problems as follows:- no tomato juice sold at the bar, not enough places laid in the restaurant for the number of reservations,It took far too long to take the drinks and food order at the table, no turnkey available on the festive menu or lamb on the main menu, no avocado in theprawn cocktail starter it had to be brought out separately, my roasted root vegetables were hard and not edible, the sprouts were pale green and like bullets, the chicken which replaced the turkey was unappetising. The shower in the room had a bad leak on the flexible hose going into the shower head which sprayed water everywhere and the radiator in the shower room did not work. At breakfast next morning my wife ordered the scrambled egg on sourdough toast and I ordered the cooked breakfast. The waitress came back and said there was only enough sourdough for one person so I said I would have normal bread. I never did get any toast although I was given the butter. My breakfast also included spinach leaves and chopped tomatoes, all very strange. We were extremely disappointed with our stay

I was very impressed with the hotel, the room was clean, the food was excellent and the service we received especially from the young lady called Sophie who served us at breakfast was excellent. She is a credit to you establishment.

HiI stay every Wednesday night for buisness and I usually have a lovely little room 202.103 was very spacious but so much noise coming from outside the window from the generator it wasn't a great sleep. I think the window could be better.It would be so beneficial to start breakfast slightly earlier than 7am as many business people need to leave early. It seems to take rather a long time to cook scrambled eggs sometimes and therefore I just skip breakfast. Overall though I enjoy my weekly stay.
