Salon the Look

I’ve been going for a year or so now and have had some good experiences aswell as bad ones, but today I was extremely unhappy. I asked the beautician for THREADING for my eyebrows, upper lip and sides. She threaded my eyebrows and left a couple of hairs which I had to go home and pluck myself but that wasn’t an issue. Whilst I was lying on the chair with my eyes still closed waiting for her to start on my sides, I felt hot wax on my cheeks - I did not ask for wax. At this point it was too late and had to go ahead. I have acne prone skin which is why I find wax too harsh and much prefer threading. As she started ripping the wax off, I found it very painful and she kept apologising and looked stressed. She then repeatedly told me that because of my pimples, my skin is very red and sensitive. I understand this which is why I initially asked for threading but she did not listen to me. I then realised she kept apologising and talking about my spots, even to the point where she starting speaking about my skin to the other beautician, making hand gestures about my skin/spots. After feeling very uncomfortable, she covered my skin in aloe Vera gel (still mentioning my acne) and even offered me a free bottle of aloe Vera gel. I could tell something had went wrong so I went to the toilets after paying £20 (which is a full face price - even though I didn’t get my forehead or nose threaded) and saw that she had given me a wax burn on my cheek and chin. I left with hair still unthreaded around my eyebrows and sides, wax residue on my upper lip, a burnt cheek which will now scab and feeling uncomfortable after the repeated remarks about my acne :(

The Best!The ladies are fantastic at their work.I get my brows done by Balvir Ji and she’s on point every time. I have been so particular about my brows, but BV is amazing. Trust her completely.There are several places in Victoria Centre that do brows, but none match this one( Sadly I’ve tried all before coming here)

My wife had her eye brows attended to. She has never had such a bad rushed job done on them. They still are sore now after more than 3 days . U can see the redness. Terrible NEVER go there again. All rush no care- or attentiveness.

Terrible experience, my eyebrows are still hurting 6 days after being done. I have visited GP and been told to use cream for the area to make the swelling go down. Will be reporting to the right people. Never use this place unless you want to destroy your face. No care whatsoever, just want your money.

I normally always use this place (when I can as I work 9-5) I feel like my last servicewas very rushed. I feel like normally they pay very close attention to my eyebrows as they are very thin. My last threading was by someone who doesn't normally do my eyebrows, it felt very rushed, she finished and walked off. I was never asked if I liked what she did, and to be honest I didn't, not only did she not speak to me and conversate over me during the whole service, I was not offered any skin care. She just walked away and stood at the cashier. :/This was really disappointing as I took time off work ( to work back in my free time) and this was for a hen do

My Fiancee had her eyebrows threaded, they messed them up completely, no sympathy and blamed her for them being messed up. Absolutely ridiculous customer service experience, her skin is still red and hurting. Disgusting place.

Maya is an absolute whizz at waxing and eyebrows and is meticulous at her job. She has a calm, professional and down to earth nature and always makes you feel nothing but comfortable. Best wax I’ve had. I have very sensitive skin and she’s always mindful of this. All the ladies are so friendly and wear a smile :)I look forward to visiting again to get my brows threaded and tinted and for future waxing.I have visited other places in the city and they have missed areas, not done the job properly or simply rushed through the appointment. I’ve never felt rushed here, always valued as a customer and treated so well. So thank you again and all the best!Highly recommend 5*
