Andy Jones Funeral Celebrant

On 11 July 2023, we had my dads funeral, I wanted a ceremony with a little laughter and sadness. I got told of Andrew, so we arranged to meet him at our home. We were all anxious, and as you could imagine, grieving. When Andrew came, he was very friendly and relaxed, and he made us all feel that he was listening to what we wanted in a service. Andrew also made us laugh and share some funny stories. He didn't rush us. He took all the time in that day no matter how long to listen to what all of us needed. After Andrew left, we were all very happy with the way Andrew addressed us all and what he made us feel. Andrew was very professional in his job, and we even named Andrew Andy as a part of our family. On the day, Andrew made sure we were all alright or if we were worried about anything. When the ceremony started, Andrew was amazing as he had rang us before the service and told us what he had written. I couldn't have asked for more? He got my dads personality and what my dad was? Old school, family man, give anybody anything if they needed it. After the ceremony, we had over 100 guests, and everyone said it's one of the best ceremonies they had been to. The family would like to thank Andy for his excellent service and his time putting all our memories into a beautiful service, and family members will certainly be getting in touch at their sad times of there loved ones. Andy was brilliant. We had such a positive response to the celebration, he had captured the real essence of Brian and his personality. The feedback to the service was overwhelming, and it prompted so many happy memories and stories throughout the day. He was able to grasp what we wanted to portray about Brian so well and in such an empathetic way. Andy supported the family throughout the process and was on hand to ensure we had included everything that was important to us. Thank you so much Andy for helping us to remember the legend and to give him a great send off.

Ours was not a straight forward job thats for sure, but Andy listened well, was sensitive, responsive, flexible, proactive and really delivered on the important day. We could not have asked for more!!! I think a big thing with Andy is he does not just follow a template he seems to want to really understand the person who has passed and genuinely wants to do his best. What he did for us was very personalised to us and the deceased. What that meant was on the day it felt we had done the best job possible and we felt good about this in an other wise difficult situation. It helps you feel at peace. Outstanding job Andy!!! Andy was the Celebrant at my husband's funeral in August and what a beautiful tribute he gave Sam. Although it was a sad occasion Andy made it so much easier to get through the day. Andy really pulled it out the bag when acting as Celebrant for my dad's Celebration of Life service.We had a slightly different assignment to a typical funeral as my dad had wanted a party" opposed to a funeral and Andy helped us deliver.He really captured my Dad's character and personality in his opening words and throughout.He even dressed the part

Andy helped us celebrate the long, full life of our mam. He really listens to what you have to say to ensure he includes as much detail as possible. From the moment you meet him, you are at ease. His kind, compassionate and friendly personality immediately reassures you. He created a very loving eulogy, which captured the events and joy of mam's life, for which we will be forever grateful. I honestly don’t even know where to start when thanking Andy for what he did for my dads service. We lost my dad in very traumatic and sudden circumstances and Andy was so empathetic with me from the start. As a 27 year old planning it all alone, I really felt like I found a friend in Andy who took the time to fully understand each and every bit of information and story I told him about my dad. Not only did he take the time to understand everything, he offered his support in the situation and talked through things to support me in what had happened & also offered his knowledge and support to other members of my family. The service Andy produced was honestly amazing. We chose a very light hearted tone and he got it bang on. We wanted it to be a journey of happy memories but we knew people would be emotional and he nailed it. People commented after the service how amazing he was. Some noted you would think he actually knew my dad. Another mentioned it was just like I asked a family friend to stand up and speak. I can only vouch for my dads service but I genuinely felt (& my partner said the same) that Andy genuinely really cared and having someone (even though it’s their job) stand up and feel/show emotion made my dad feel really important and that his story even touched people he didn’t know. Although I hope I don’t have to use the service andy provides any time soon, I hope I get to cross paths with him again some time because he truly is an amazing man and I would recommend him to absolutely anyone I know. From the first meeting, Andy put us at ease and explained, chatted and helped us every way he could, then delivered a beautiful service all about my late brother, this is the second humanist service we have arranged in the family and although the first one was beautiful, this one was the most outstanding. Andy even did his own research on my brothers football career telling us things we had forgotten or didn't even know. Andy will be highly recommended by myself and family. A truly lovely man who cares.

Andy came to my home to discuss the service for my late wife with me and two members of my family. He was there for 2 to 3 hour covering all aspects of my late wife and getting to know her through her family. The whole service, which was a celebration of my late wife Mel, was a true tribute to her and Andy managed to incorporate all of her traits, likes (dislikes) etc within the service.It was a true and exact celebration of Mel and i am please that we chose Andy to carry out this as i believe that he understood who she was and what she stood for.I would truthfully recommend Andy Jones to anyone who wished to get a true reflection on their loved ones after they have passed away.
