Mire Fold Farm Caravan Site

Definitely do not go here with children they have an absolutely no fun policy! Children must be put on a leash at all times! The owner interupted our 1 night stay on several occasions,he was rumaging through the bins and brought our bin bag back out of the bin because I didn't put it in the correct bin!!! (A few plastic bottles and cans) Children can only be seen outside their own pitch. No ball policy. Do not take children/dogs here.. really spoiled our bank holiday. Disapointed 0 out of 5

Booked in for New Year and bitterly disappointed with the look of the site and the caravan storage onsite.....so we left!!The owner needs to decide if it's a small ccl campsite or caravan storage. Simple.

Came here as a tester night in our new van. It was £13. Pitches are easily accessible, clean, & big enough. the toilet block has seen better days but they do flush. There's a livery yard on site so people around from 8am ish. There is van storage but it doesn't affect the touring pitches in anyway. I'd say this is an ideal site for adults wanting a Base to explore, but not really for kids as there's not enough to do/ area to explore on site to keep them from getting bored.

We have just come back from a four night stay at this site. Only five pitches available so was very quiet. Has one shower and two toilets one for men one for women. Which was okay. Their is a lot of caravans in storage, and it also has stables and horses in most of the fields around the site. Stan the owner was very helpful friendly and happy to help. Their is a Italian and Indian restaurant at the top of the lane which is a 2 minute walk both are lovely excellent food. Italians has a beer garden which was great as we had our dogs with us. Both do takeaways as well as sit in. We walked down into Ribchester from the site which was about 1 hour walk and their is pubs coffee shop and spar shop we had a fantastic time loads of other walks to do with dogs which we always found a pubwe will definitely be visiting again thank you stan

Excellent site for a quiet break. We took our 3 dogs and had plenty of walks around the area. 2 fishing lakes easy location and well maintained, with big fish. Basic but adequate shower block. Not much to do for children.

3rd time here as we live 20mins up the road, friendly owners, flat hardstanding pitches all with EHU & TV socket, bogs&showers dated but clean, bus stop right out side gate, £2 to anywhere, Preston, Blackburn & Clitheroe 15 mins drive, Italian & India restaurants 5mins walk away, defo come back

Easy stopover on route up North. Has what you need and some fishing lakes if you like course fishing. Mr Anderson is very friendly and accommodating, found us a space at short notice for a reasonable price. There is a good Indian restaurant at the top of the road/ entrance to the site - also an Italian that we didn't try. We had a takeaway from the Indian as we have a dog and it was very good. There is a Gents and Ladies WC and a shared shower in a small unheated block....a little walk from the CL field. It's basic but clean and dry. There isn't much in the way of pretty walks from site and we weren't there long enough to explore the local area but it is a useful stopover point if travelling North/South.

Very clean site, would come again. Ideal for local attractions. If you would like a 'away from it all break' this is the place!

Would definitely not recommend this site for anyone with kids! The owner was quite rude with us and on several occasions came and told us that the kids can't play with their frisbee or football and that they wernt to go any were other than right in front of the tent. We also took the dogs with us as it states dog friendly yet when we got there, there was signs up stating 'No dogs' in various places. Thankfully we only spent one night there and couldn't pack up quick enough to get out of there this morning.
