Alastair Reid - Guildtown Garage

I am absolutely horrified at the service I have received from this garage, I have been to them several times with sufficient service from them in the past year however on this occasion they have really let them self's down and me down. They have taken very little care of my car and treated it like it just didn't matter. I am in fact receiving my car back in a much worse state than I left her in.Firstly i prebooked the car in nearly 3 weeks in advance for them not to even bother looking at her for over a week despite being lied to twice that week that they would the very next day however this wasn't a huge deal to me as I understand how busy this sort of business can be its the way in which they have looked after my car in there care which i feel is totally unacceptable.I left my car in the care of them being assured she would be left covered as she is from 1989 and has a canvas roof which could be prone to leaking, they lied to me and assured me this would be the case as they clearly have plenty of room to store this car out the weather which is why I choose this place. however they then left her out in the Scottish winter exposed to inches of snow left to melt through the canvas roof for days which has caused quite significant water ingress into the car and I also belive this has now affected the electrics.They posted a photo on there Facebook page when it was snowing with my car completely coverd in snow thus shooting themselves in the foot providing me with the evidence of just how little effort they have put into looking after my ageing classic.This really is just unacceptable customer service.I will never be back, I have provided them with other customers over the last year which obviously will no longer be the case, I would not recommend to anyone going forward, This has to be the worst experience I have ever had dealing with car garages.I have a collection of 6 vintage cars so provide plenty of custom over the year which of course they will no longer get.Shame on you!

Amazing couldn’t fault the garage, everyone was really helpful every thing was done quick and easy I was given a courtesy car which made my life so much easier job was done and ready for me to collect at the arranged time will defiantly be using this garage again in the future !

Great service! Put the car in first thing and got a text back to say it was ready in the afternoon. The mechanic even showed me pictures of the condition of the parts before and after the work.

Good garage for local repairs, friendly, professional, courteous and a loan car available if required.

Went to look at a cars. Was looking at car asked if was ok to open the bonnet got the most drity look on his face. And when to look under the car. He said what are you doing soon as he say that I just walked away.

Awful Garage I would recommend you go somewhere else.The courtesy car they provide is blatant dangerous and should not be passed onto customers.The worst car garage in perthshire by far. Dirty, unprofessional and poor standard of work.

A warning light showed low tyre pressure and I stopped without any appointment for assistance. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly.

I was on holiday in Newtonmore and got an amber engine warning light on my Audi A5. I'd tried eight garages from Inverness to Perth all of which couldn't book the car in for a diagnostic check for at least a week. Alastair Reid were also busy but were happy to fit the diagnostic check in the following day. Fortunately it was only a minor fault that could be rectified when I got home. I'm very grateful for their help and advice. They put my mind at rest for the fortnight that we were away. I would certainly recommend them. They go the extra mile. Thank you very much.
